Over the last four years I've had McAfee, BitDefender, Norton and Kaspersky anti-virus software running under Windows XP in emulation on an iMac. Both McAfee and especially BitDefender drove me crazy, both were intrusive and not very intuitive to use. Norton worked fine but I needed to move it to another machine and saw a good price on Kaspersky. That is what runs on our network at work so I decided to give the home version a try. It has the cleanest installation procedure and is the easiest to configure of the four I've tried. I'm very happy with it after a couple of months of use.

Perfect for the home user to protect just one computer. I have used this product for 8 years now & it has stopped all and any efforts of an invasion of my computer. They can also be reached by phone in the US as a courtesy to their customers. GREAT COMPANY.

I bought this product on the recommendation of an acquaintance. Before installing it, I scanned the long list of software it is incompatible with. Nowhere did it list Malwarebytes. Malwarebytes comes with a PC Magazine Editor's Choice rating of "Excellent." So I proceeded to install Kaspersky AV 2014. Now that Malwarebytes has version 2.0,, I called Kaspersky to ask if they were still compatible. They said "No." If they're not, why doesn't Kaspersky say so on its website? This 180 degree reversal by Kaspersky has led me to mistrust their company completely. I know that professional technicians use Malwarebytes when nothing else will remove malware. Replacing Kaspersky should be no problem.

Kaspersky Antivirus 2014 product has ruined my Computer. 1st it started using a large amount of CPU processing power and wouldn't finish its scan without crashing my machine. then, despite "uninstalling it" via the menu, it remained. After trying to uninstall using their recommended "KAV removal tool", both keyboard and mouse are non-responsive in both Safe Mode and normal Windows boot mode.

The Kaspersky forum tech support instructions and support people have not provided a solution that solves the problem. i've used the bootable KAV rescue disk and run "usbrecover" from the recommended "terminal window" without results. My computer has now been crippled for 48 hours because of Kaspersky products.

I've spent hours going in circles with their tech support people and opened numerous support tickets to no avail.

i suggest googling "Kaspersky lost keyboard and mouse", as it seems to be a well reported recurring problem that Kaspersky has not fixed for a long time. The only "maybe solution" they've offered is $59 for Premier Support or telling me that i need to call a local tech.

I highly suggest not using this product. FYI, my system had been stable for years before installing Kaspersky Anti Virus 2014

I have had this antivirus program for about 2 years now, on my laptop and desk computer, and I do like it. I do a lot online shopping and I do get great protection form all sorts of stuff. It does get picky once in awhile if you don't let it update, and try to do something you think you have done already, but overall a great protection program. Of course there is better out there for more money, but this worked well for me.

I ordered Kaspersky AV to give it a try after several years of using Avira and Norton. As a techie, I have come to expect great malware blocking from Kaspersky, as well as a good deal of settings for a power user to play around with. I updated to the 2015 version and really didn't have any surprises. My one suggestion would be to lighten up the interface a bit. It feels a bit more sluggish than Norton and Avira, although it's on par with them for malware blocking and removal. If you are running Windows 7 or 8, there is really no need to pay for the more expensive Internet Security version, since Windows has a decent firewall built in, and a firewall is the primary additional component of Kaspersky Internet Security. (Also, most routers have an even better firewall already, which makes any other firewall redundant). Overall, there are tons of good security options out there today; this is just one of them.

Installed this on my old Dell Vostro Win XP laptop. I had been hit with malicious adware so badly that the poor PC would hardly work. Pop-ups everywhere, what a mess. Installed this product, did a scan and all of the problems vanished. Internet downloads are a tad longer now as the Kaspersky scans each one....but that's fine with me! We'll see how this product works now, since XP support has been abandoned by MS. I did get a phishing email today from an Amazon clone scammer, but not sure if any product would prevent that since it came in as an email.
UPDATE: While this DID stop my virus issues...OMG is it cantankerous to live with! It takes over EVERYTHING and I've had no luck controlling it. Even if you toggle everything to "OFF" it basically flips you the bird and continues on. Sync my iPod? Forget it! Restart? Forget it! Had to unplug my computer as it has locked up everything.
Even when it says "protection is disabled"...it IS, in fact, still running and won't let you do a damned thing until IT decides it will let you. So...yes, it stopped the viruses from attacking, but I now live in a TOTALITARIAN world on my PC....protected and CONTROLLED by the Kaspersky. Kinda parallels world history in some parts. I just gave up and surrendered to it. At least the trains now run on time.
