Even 3840x2160 at 30hrz was a problem.

Abysmal product and support from belkin.

I purchased this item a week ago from b&h photo based on the stock avaliability for the product at the time and the statements made by @belkincares who is clearly labeled as a manufacturer representative in the q&a for the product.

The q&a in 2 seperate questions confirms its 4k functionality.

"It supports 1080p Full HD as well as 4K Ultra HD. This feature works best if the connected device is Thunderbolt 2 technology ready or if it has a Mini Display port 2.

Upon receipt of the item it was found to be incapable of anything over 1080p.

I contacted belkin support via twitter (as stated to do on belkin.com) the night the item was received and after a looping conversation where the items being used were repeatedly confirmed and asked again the belkin rep stated they would check with the tech department and get back to me. For the record : 15" 2014 retina macbook pro and a samsung UN40HU6950 4k tv.

A week later with no response i contacted again, belkin now states the item they claimed to be 4k compatible is not and to return the item to where it was purchased from.

No appology, no correction of their mistake, just handing their mistake back to one of their retail partners to handle.

Absolutely not a company I will do business with in the future or recommend to anyone.Read more ›

I've only had the product for 3 months, but it is no longer working. At first it would occasionally drop the video and audio feed. Now, my computer is no longer recognizing the product and I am getting neither video or audio feed. I am highly disappointed because the product can no longer be returned or replaced. I would advise not wasting your time and money on this product.

This is the most durable Mini Displayport to HDMI cable I've ever owned. I have several of them laying around, but my main problem with the other cables has been that the cable and the housing of the large integrated circuit on the HDMI end of the cable causes the cable to become loose where it connects to the IC housing. But that does not appear to be possible with this cable, because it's so durable and thick.

This cable is extremely well-constructed. It would take quite a bit of force to break it. This cable is probably more expensive than most other cables of its type because it's so durable. I'll probably be looking at Belkin first for my future purchases of video cables, now that this one has shown me that yes, you can build a good cable that doesn't fall apart with normal use.

I purchased this cable to connect my Surface Pro 3 to my Samsung 8550 Television, which has HDMI inputs. It did not work. I can see the operating system with occasional drops or glitches in video, so I can see well enough to navigate to a movie, but when I start playing the video regularly drops out, as in once or twice a second. Completely useless cable. Some report that it works for them with their Surface devices, so I can only assume that it's either an issue with my TV, or the quality control on these cables is terrible.

I still have what I would call a slightly compromised video signal on the HDMI screen. However, all the other options I have tried also have this same issue where the text is not crystal clear. So I assume they are all going to behave the same. This one is very convenient and the price is right. Would be 5 stars if the second screen was perfectly clear but it is not. Still best of its' kind that I have tried so far.

Purchased this to connect my MacBook Pro laptop to our LCD TV. I read a lot of reviews before purchasing this brand. It is well made, pretty substantial and its 12 ft length allows you to sit on a chair or sofa if you're reviewing your digital pictures on the TV for ultimate editing on your computer. I catch more things to change with a larger picture being projected and will waste less DVDs because of changes that were needed and not noticed while only editing on my computer. Recommended. Reasonably priced thru Amazon too.

If you use any adapters like these on a laptop and therefore the cord bends at an angle, eventually the connection will go bad. But I've bought several brands of this type of cable, and this one lasted by far the longest. Even though it costs 3x as much, it's worth the price. I use this constantly, every day and they last 6-12 weeks. Some of the others I've purchased (closer to $10) have lasted under a week. I always make sure I have 2 of these at any given time so I never have to go without my monitor.
