Not what I was hoping for

This training bundle from Infinite Skills is not what I was expecting. I have the 2013 edition, and it was a bit better than this 2014 edition. This 2014 edition is not a true from ground-up tutorial, in my opinion.

PROS: Does have some good tips and tricks
It is a DVD, so you can pause it and re-watch sections as many times as needed

CONS: My major grip about this training dvd is the fact that some of the videos start with line work or walls already in place, and they don't give any dimensions or info for the existing items, this means you must use their included working files....... I would rather do all the work myself. These training bundles tend to move quickly sometimes, and for a new user, this might cause some problems.

Price should be lower

good for the price. taught a lot of the basics... will highly recommend looking at multiple vids other than just one to see how instructors approach a situation/ problem... a lot of tips and tricks can be picked up, ALTHOUGH YOU MAY ALREADY KNOW HOW TO GET TO THE END RESULT THAT THE INSTRUCTOR IS TRYING TO TEACH.

The price is a bit steep, but at least you will be able to see someone working on revit project in the user interface environment. Seeing that revit is fairly new to the engineering industry (last decade) it helps to see how different people approach a different situation to see their train of thought. Normally when working on projects, they may be (and i exaggerate) 10 different things to check to get a required outcome. in the video, if the instructor does 3 of them, you'll know 3 ways and won't see the other 7... say...

the more you watch, the better. keep in mind, you may alreayd know how to get that task done. it may be boring and monotonous watching the same 20 minute session by another person, but it may be approached at a different angle.

My advice is just get all that you can and learn from the videos.
