Finally, I found the "wife-approved" Dickies shorts.

My wife got sick of me looking like a gangster in the other Dickies shorts I own.
I always thought I looked more like a pre-teen wearing 'em, but either way, my chances of getting laid while wearing the previous shorts were abysmal.

Then I found these shorts.

I ordered these shorts, along with a Louis Raphael Men's Slim Fit short

And my wife is pleased with both.
The Dickies are tougher material, but the Louis Raphel's come in a variety of colors.
Both are form fitting and wife-approved.

Feels and fits as expected

If you like Dickies' work pants, you'll like the material and construction of these shorts. Personally, I prefer my shorts to fit trim and end just above my knees for a more modern look. At 5 ft 8, these work fine for me. The regular fit ones are far too baggy and the 13 inch inseams far too long for my liking. For the price paid, these shorts are value for money. Durable, fit well (just buy your usual pants size), functional, easy to match with a polo or tee. Like the work pants, I would expect them to be more comfortable after a few washes (they feel like cardboard out of the package), but if you're looking for a pair of shorts with a more luxurious feel, more colorful and yet somewhat cost-effective still, top up a little and try the Dockers Alpha shorts. But these are fine.

Great slim fit shorts for a great price

I am 6'1 and weigh about 170. I am a little more on the lean side of things and I got these in grey 32. They fit just like the photo shows and the color is very acurate. I love the fit. The material is the standard stiff dickies material which in my mind is a bonus because of durability. I love the fit and the style.

Classic Dickies material, not stretch.

I'm not sure what makes these "stretch" material, it's the exact same material as regular Dickies (65% polyester 35% cotton). If you're looking for slimmer shorter shorts than the 13" Dickies, these are great, but not stretch material.

Good Shorts Overall, But a Few Things Worth Noting

These shorts aren't as slim as I hoped they would be. I wasn't looking for a super tight fit. But, there was still a decent amount of room to breathe. Also, it's probably because I have long legs. But, the shorts were a little short than the model shows. I'm 6'0". In the Dickie's pants of this same model (Slim Fit Stretch Twill Work Pants). The 30 fits me. But, for this it's a 31. Also they are very starchy shorts, if you're not used to the Dickie's fabric.

Love handle squeezer

I own size 30 waist slim fit dickies pants that fit perfect but, for some reason I ordered these size 32 waist and they were to small and tight in my waist area . They practically squeeze my love handles. I want to return it for another size but they don't have 33 at the moment :( .

These fit great. Stiff but that isn't noticeable while you're wearing them. Bought two pair because of the fit and color. They have become my favorite shorts. I've had them for months now and use them pretty much daily. I live in Hawaii so they get year round abuse. I'm back today for a third pair. Difficult to stain, love um.

perfect size and length

perfect size and length. they are slim fit but not super tight. I usually wear a 30 but with dickies I always buy 31 just because I know they will shrink a little after washing.
