I ordered this item in cassis (my second color choice), which is an eggplant-like hue. (My first color choice had a 2-3 month wait for shipping). The cassis looks looks great on my table, and I'm pleased with the decision. I appreciated that the cups are sold singly, as I only needed two and didn't want to purchase a large set. I am glad to have found something a little different from the boring traditional white egg cups. These have a pleasant modern shape, and are sturdy without being clunky. Extra large eggs fit nicely into the cups. Soft-cooked eggs with good crusty toast soldiers (with olive oil instead of butter) is my new favorite weekend breakfast. Can't wait for spring so I can dip blanched asparagus spears into the yolk for lunch.

I ordered four of these before Christmas. Two of them arrived broken off at the base. I know this is the busy season and stuff happens. It may not have been the fault of the Egg Cup design but the packer, who packed them with heavier items without protecting them enough.
Nice product though if you can get them intact.

Hey -- this is a good Egg Cup. I've been looking for this. It fits an Extra Large egg very well. Egg-actly what I wanted when I want to be refined and eat soft boiled eggs. FYI: best way to cook your eggs. Covered pot -- very little water (like 1/4 inch) for 6 1/2 minutes and then immediately cold water to stop the cooking. You want to steam, not boil.

Not as brilliant blue as the picture shows, it is a darker steel blue that fades to a lighter blue, just not what I was expecting. I can't see paying more than $10 for this and would chose a different color next time. .

boil egg snobs will love this little egg cup .. pricy but hell it is worth it as it as it really holds an egg! and provides just enough coverage that when i break open the open there is no spillage of the precious yolk.. even works on the large duck eggs - such creamy yolk.
