I bought this to light my keyboard while working in conditions with poor lighting. Unfortunately, the item is too short to ideally light the keyboard. Additionally, the light is too bright. It blinds anyone else sitting near me.

I received this in orange at no cost. Here are my comments.

1. This is a very easy way to bring a portable light for reading and other uses. It's only 6 5/8" long and the thickest part is only 3/4". You can easily stick this in your pocket, briefcase, backpack, etc.

2. You can power this from a computer USB port or the USB port on a power bank. This bends in the middle so you can angle it how you like. There is no bare bulb exposed so this is easy on your eyes, yet powerful enough so you can see a computer keyboard or read a book. You can also use this as a nightlight in a bathroom (too bright for the bedroom) or hallway if you attach it to a power bank (not all power banks have built in flashlights).

3. At $7.50 this is very reasonably priced.

So for my purposes, I have a very portable solution to provide some light in the evening and keep my smartphone charged for a solid weekend in the woods or at the beach. All in all, I find it very useful. I keep one at home in my "power outage" kit, one in my primary backpacking/car camping kit for road trips and one for a guest with another battery for a guest in the second tent. The last two will be Christmas gifts for my nephews.

The light is plenty bright. It's on the blue side of the spectrum. And it's good for small children if they need to walk around the campground at night. It's inherently safer than a candle.

The 5 pack is also a great price

only down side is it wont properly turn 180 degrees, so if your usb ports are on the side opposite the side the wife is sleeping on, she gets a face full of light. bonus!!!! if you are trying to tick her of. not so much if you ever hope to get lucky again.
make sure you have usb ports on both sides of laptop or the ones you have will cause it to shine light opposite of where wife is trying to sleep.
good product other than that. make sure you unplug before falling asleep or it will break your usb port. it is a very solid and sturdy product.
am buying more.

Very cool lights. Very bright. I bought these to use one for a night light when I travel (almost weekly). These lights are VERY bright so I just plug it into my laptop, or one of the four ports on my Anker multi port USB charger and "boom" instant night light I won't forget to take with me for my next trip. You can use the bright light to light your way to the exit or bathroom or you can flex it downwards so you just get a glow to provide you with some light to help you with orientation should you wake up in the middle of the night. Serves my purpose very well and you can't beat the price!

If you have a USB port, you can use this little light. It’s rather like the Bendy cable in that it can be twisted or turned around to suit your needs. I tried it out in my laptop, PC, and in a battery pack. The battery pack ended up being a mini flashlight. I was able to fully make my way around in the dark using it.

LED lights last for a long time and the silicone coating on this little portable lamp adds to the durability. There are all sorts of cool things you can do with a lighting source such as this one. For example, I put the light, which I had attached to a battery pack, on top of my tower. The tower is under my desk and with the added light I was able to see that if need be, I’d be able to work under my desk without having to use a bulky flashlight.

On my computer desk, I do have a lamp behind me that I use but because of the placement, my body sometimes get in the way of lights. My desk does not have enough room for a desk lamp due to how messy I am. My solution was this. These lights are compact and I usually have an Anker 5 Port USB charger on my desk anyways to charge my phones, portable battery backs, BT headphones and stuff. The charger also works great for powering these. Around 1-2 is good enough as a desk lamp. These lights are very bright to the point sometimes I feel it is a bit too bright so I have to angle them down a bit to prevent them from shining directly in my eyes.

The lights are not without flaw however. First of all the length of the lights could be a bit longer. I think a more acceptable length would at least be 2-3x the current length. They are a bit short. If I want to I can put my USB charger on top of my speakers to gain some height. If you don't have such a charger like me, you can probably tape it up to your monitor or something. The second flaw is the light heads do get quite warm (maybe like the temperature of the water when you are showering) to the touch (not so hot that it burns), warm enough that you may feel a bit concerned. None of mine broke or lit on fire yet so I'll assume it's fine for it to get a bit warm.

Overall I love these lights very much and highly recommend them if you have limited desk space. -
