    We purchased these boots for my daughter, who just outgrew her size 9 shoes and is sizing at 9 1/2. Per reviews of similar Hatley styles, these boots are definitely not too small. I can't honestly say that they run too large because my daughter is not quite a 10 and so they were going to be large on her anyhow, but they definitely don't run small and I would recommend ordering the closest size per Amazon's sizing chart. Do not up-size. There is ample room at the top and she can get them comfortably on and off even without the handles other kids' rain boots have.

    We have had them for about a week. My daughter has played outside in them. Overall they are still shiny. There are a few scuffed places, but that is going to happen with any high-gloss finish if you let kids actually wear and play in them. So far they are comfortable and holding up well, and I like the reflective tape on the back. The boots are on the higher end price-wise but no one locally is selling rain boots this year for some reason and the cheaper boots weren't holding up well at all according to the reviews, so we decided this may be a case of "you get what you pay for." Time will tell. Given the room she has in them, we hope to get at least two seasons of wear out of them. So far these boots deserve five stars.

    Sad to return -- toes were near end of boot (despite sizing charts) but top of boot was too wide. Wouldn't stay on. :-( Very pretty boot, though! Beautiful shade of red and so shiny!

    Trying to find boots is a chore in itself when you're almost 30 but have a child size foot, size 3 for me. I spent about a week researching rainboots and narrowed it down between these and a pair by Hunter. They look great and seem to be good quality however I will be returning them due to them being about a size too big. Every pair of boots I own from a variety of makes and styles are all a size 3. I am going to try and see if the size 2 fit but hold my breath.

    **Update 02-15-2015 Size 2 is still a bit too big but it will do if I wear my thicker socks or double-up on my regular ones. Still haven't received my refund from my first pair though and realized I was charged more for the second pair than the first.

    These are adorable boots but they run pretty large. My kid is size 11 in shoes but the size 11 boots were huge on her - at least a full size or more bigger. We'll just wear a few pairs of thick socks until they fit!
