Beautiful way to remember my kitty. There is a hole in the bottom with a plastic plug that you screw in to keep in place. The hole is about the size of a quarter, maybe a little bigger. It comes with a bag and a twist tie. The best way to transfer is to place the new bag in and open it up as much as possible. Once she was in, I used a a zip tie instead of a twist tie. I felt it was a more secure way to close the bag. It was emotionally difficult but I felt more at ease knowing she was home finally.
If you are reading this, you are mourning your pet. I am very sorry for your loss.

I was looking for an urn to keep my Pumpkin in that wouldn't necessarily advertise to everyone that entered my living room that I kept the ashes of my dead cat on my mantle, you know? This is a beautiful memoriam for him. It's very quality, heavy and we'll made. The shipping was very fast and the packaging was well done. It is more brown gray than green (I kinda thought it looked green) and the flecks of brown in the paint make it look almost like it's carved of stone. I'm very pleased with my choice and would absolutely recommend it to anyone.

Pros: Seller shipped item with care, high quality piece which looked just like the stock photo.

Con: The oriface at the bottom in very small. I would say it is the size of a quarter at best. Be prepared to have to handle your beloved cat's ashes in order to fit them into this urn. I didn't want to pour the remains directly into the urn so I had to split the remains into two little baggies and carefully shove them in slowly (which is the last thing you want to do when grieving)

Overall a nice piece that just needs a BIGGER OPENING.

Like others who reviewed, I had a lot of difficulty getting my sweet boy's remains into the urn. I followed the suggestions to spread out the bag inside and to redistribute every so often, but I still could not get all of him inside. I ultimately buried about 1/4 of the ashes that I couldn't get in. My boy was maybe 13 pounds when he passed, so maybe he was too big. That said, it is lovely and quite tasteful, and is a very sweet tribute. I wish I could rate this higher, but it was too difficult to manage the ashes.
