Initially: This appeared to be a very nicely made water bottle with a flip-up drinking spout, a detachable straw, and an easy twist-on/off lid with a stay-connect plastic loop. Nice size for youngsters. Holds 14 ounces. Fits easily into side pockets of most all backpacks or lunch boxes/bags. It is ideal in size, function, and visual appearance. It has Elsa & Anna on one side with an additional Olaf feature on the other side (not shown in picture).

*****Update 9/25/2014: The plastic parts of this water bottle have held up well; however, the pictures of Elsa, Anna and Olaf are now flaking off rapidly. This is occurring from hand washing in the sink most of the time. The pictures appear to be applied with adhesive as a separate process when made and are simply wearing off from every day use. The pictures are pretty much gone now and you would never know this water bottle use to have cute pictures of Anna, Elsa and Olaf on it! If you purchase one of these water bottles, I would suggest that you only wash the inside of the bottle and never the outside.

****It is "NOT" dishwasher safe... microwave safe... or even hand washing safe. Good luck.

Plastic straw came chipped on one end. I should've exchanged it, but didn't feel it was worth the hassle. I still let my son use it, it didn't affect his straw-sucking abilities. I bought this to replace his Pottery Barn Kids Darth Vader water bottle which was RECALLED due to high amounts of lead in the exterior dark grey paint. I wanted a Star Wars themed bottle for his Staw Wars themed lunch box. This water bottle leaks when placed sideways (in his lunchbox). AND I saw it for less, 5.99, at my local Jewel Osco. Not a fan.

My daughter loves this water bottle! I love that it is easy to wash in the dishwasher and is virtually unbreakable.
It is also nice that the straw is long enough to reach the bottom of the bottle. It is easy to drink out of (I tried it out) and has a loop so I can attach it to her backpack.

The only reason why this gets one star is because, when this was delivered the straw was cracked at the top where it goes into the lid so it slides off easily. The cup itself was just, my 9 year old son loved it.

The cup was missing the inside piece that attaches to the tip in order for the child to be able to sip any liquid out of the cup. Without the piece, the cup is useless. I found the same cup at WalMart, with ALL pieces, and purchased it. Should have gone there first but I know Jake merchandise isn't very popular so I looked on Amazon.

For some reason we are unable to suck fluid up through the straw. Everything is put together correctly but nothing comes up the straw when you suck.
It's very disappointing for my 3 year old.
Waste of money.

This is the third Zak! Designs water bottle I have purchased, and I have been pleased with all of them. They are easy to use, dishwasher-safe on the top rack, and very durable. The first two bottles were purchased over a year ago and have gone through many, many dishwasher cycles with no wear on the decorative surfaces. Just two days ago, one developed a crack near the top after being dropped on the concrete (from pretty high up), but it still doesn't leak. My daughter put it right back in her backpack today. I purchased this particular bottle back in August, and it still looks like new after almost daily use. I recommend these bottles and will not hesitate to buy another when my daughter's character preference changes (again!).

We love these water bottles. I purchase them for my 12 month old daughter.They have a hard straw unlike most cups for children her age (if it has a soft straw she just chews it up) and it is easy for her to drink from. The bottle does not leak if it is closed. If the straw is open the bottle can drip a small amount of liquid out of it. All my daughter drinks from these is water so it does not create a problem. These bottles are not limited to her using a few months and then outgrowing. She can use these for a few years.
There are lots of cute designs, they are available in multi packs and some of them ship Prime. How can I complain?
