As someone who loves to cook and bake, I am a bit particular about the ingredients that I use. When I was recently told to steer clear of gluten because of a digestive issue, I began looking for a suitable flour to fill in for all of my needs. After trying a number of different brands, I was thrilled to find a winner with Wholesome Chow Organic All-Purpose Baking Mix. The name really says it all - it is a wholesome, delicious baking mix that is perfectly suited for all of my baking needs. I have made delicious pancakes, muffins, cupcakes, bread, cookies, and more with this mix. I have incorporated it into casseroles and other baked dinners as well. While I would not recommend it for cooking (there are more suitable flours for that, and as a blend, this has xanthan gum in it), it is a winner and I will continue to purchase it - especially on Amazon where it is the best price that I have found.

I love this product! I made pancakes this morning & expected the rather typical, bland flavor that I find in many GF recipes. These were the best GF pancakes I have ever had! As another reviewer pointed out, it does have baking soda in it. The ingredients are "Organic White Rice Flour, Organic Brown Rice Flour, Organic Potato Starch, Organic Tapioca Starch, Sodium Bicarbonate, Evaporated Sea Salt, Xanthum Gum." Seriously, how can you go wrong, especially because the taste & texture are great? This mix is corn-free, GF, Verified Organic by The Non-GMO Project, CCOF, Vegan Verified, & without wheat. One would NEVER know the pancakes were not wheat based. But, I have to admit: I added bananas, toasted pecans & blueberries, (always do to get more good stuff), so I didn't taste the mix alone. I am thrilled with this mix. This is a keeper in my house.
