I bought one of these and a Hyperion to compare, they are identical right down to the marks left over from molding. At the time of writing this review, the Hyperion is about $1.00 cheaper (Prime pricing). It is worth noting that the Hyperion comes with a screen protector, while this one does not. Personally, I hate plastic screen protectors so that isn't a selling point to me...but it may be worthwhile to some.

I actually really like this case. I love black but am so tired of most cases being in black. Yet this one adds zero bulk to the phone, I love the perfect fit and the ease of putting the phone in or taking it out. It's just a very comfortable case and I find myself using it even though I have a clear and a blue one. I like the feel of this one better. It's the soft almost leather/gel feel. I like a case that doesn't over power the phone and interfere with the use of the phone and this one does not. Very nice case and seller was very prompt in delivery. Thanks so much. I would buy another like it, just in a different color.

Basically the same case as the Hyperion, soft touch TPU w/ a sandy back that makes it easy to grib. Buttons can be a little stiff when new, but the lip around the screen is minimal and doesn't effect swiping.

I previously purchased the Diztronic matte black case, but wanted a case that included a cutout for the dimple on the back of the phone. This case is inexpensive, snug fitting, comfortable in hand, and great looking.The dimple cutout is smoothly graded so that it still feels nice under the finger, instead of adding an extra edge. I'd recommend this cover to any first gen Moto X users.

This case finally met most of my criteria for buying a case. It maintains the black face of the Moto X. It's secure. It's grippy. It does not obscure the awesome M dimple on the back. It's not a pain to get on/off, yet you know it's on there securely. It does not obscure any phone functions that I have noticed (camera, ports, buttons, etc.). It is about as small and form-fitting as I have seen while still feeling like it protects just fine. I returned the CaseMate by Motorola due to it looking bulky, glossy, and cheap (however it felt and acted like a totally fine protective case). I returned the Supcase Unicorn Beetle Hybrid only due to a sharp line of plastic around the case that ruined the feel of the phone. This Amzer case feels very much like the Moto X does without any case at all.

Cons: does cover the volume buttons which will obscure the custom color. Does cover the custom color back, although this is still perceived through the dimple, camera, and speaker cutaways.

Other than that, this is a very sharp-looking, good feeling, affordable case that does not ruin the overall look/feel of the Moto X. Nicely done.

Nice case to protect your Moto X, for a good price. One think I had to get used to were the power and volume buttons on the side. The case does not cut out an opening for the actual buttons. The case covers the buttons and adds a raised profile to press on the case. I would prefer if those raised buttons were more defined and can be felt with a more tactile 'feel' I guess. Just a small issue. Would recommend to a moto x owner.

Fits the phone snugly without being too hard to install. Nicely made, with cutouts perfectly positioned. Should protect the back and edges from all but the worst accidents, and that's where most scuffs are likely to happen. I like the fact that the Motorola "dimple" on the back of the phone is still exposed, which makes the phone easier to hold.
