If you are using 18% or stronger fret wire the cutters will not cut without a lot of force and the wire has to be in the center of the cutter for that to work. I tried them on one guitar and will try to send them back for a refund.

Gets the job done. Just wish it were a little smoother. The jaws need to be sharpened for that. Costs nothing compared to stewmacs. If your a casual luthier and doing fret work, these work fine.
