Initially I was a but put off by it's price (Amazon is the cheapest you'll find this thing anywhere). However! Let me just say, this... in the short time I've had it, has changed the way I conduct my business. The rolling mechanism features two little pegs you stick into the cardboard tube of the foil roll and is smooth and firmly "stuck" in. The real dazzler here, and any colorist can back me up, is that the lid not only cuts the foil, it creates a little fold right at the end that is perfect for sticking a pintail color brush under. So, not only do you have custom sized foils (gone are the days of cutting foil by hand), you have the foil-fold all done for you just by pulling the length of the foil to your desired size and mushing down on the lid. This has cut my process by 1/3 of the time. And when your all done with your dispenser, the lid closes and locks into place with a little flipping lever so you don't cut your fingers, foil by accident, or anything else that the blade my come into contact with. I'm a mobile-stylist (I come to you, not you come to a salon), and this has been one of the most helpful tools in my arsenal yet.

My only complaint, if it really is justified at all... is that I think for the price, at least a trial sized roll of foil should come with the dispenser. Like I said, Amazon is the only place you'll find it this cheap... even with professional discounts everywhere else. But, all in all, it was a one time buy. The device is sturdy and well made so I don't foresee having to purchase another one anytime soon. And it's more than paid for itself already in usefulness and time saving.

I am a hairstylist and I love this foil dispenser. It does not move when I try to use one hand to cut a piece of foil, I love the fact that it folds the foil for you very convenient. Also can find foil for it at any beauty supply store so its not a hassle if I run out.

Works well,clean cut every time. I do wish the fold was a little larger and a local Sally Beauty Supply had it for about half the cost of what I paid.
