I'd previously bought this item and found it very useful. So much so that when it eventually wore out - after a few years - I decided to go ahead and buy another one.

What I didn't expect is that they would've replaced the little rubber pads my old one had with brand new shiny super slippery pads.
Because that's exactly what you want in an item that's going to be placed under your feet in a bathtub...to make it as slippery as possible.

Both my husband and I have had a couple of close calls getting out of the tub and had to permanently exile it from the bathroom as it's a tremendous safety hazard.

Also, they should be ashamed of their description on this site.
It says and I quote "Use in or out of tub and shower" in this item's description.
But the box it came in clearly said "Do not use inside shower or tub".
Uhm, that's why I bought it. I certainly wasn't looking for another bathroom mat as I already had one.

But really, it couldn't even be used as a bathroom mat as those pesky super slippery pads would cause you to slip and hurt yourself while getting out of the tub.

Short review: Please don't buy this if you value not getting hurt inside or outside your bathtub.

I bought 2 of these mats to use as pedestals for outdoor Solar/LED bollard lighting fixtures. I wanted to be able to move the fixtures around (rather than permanently bolt them into the patio). We have a (large) dog and were concerned that mobile lights would be knocked over. The mats are heavy and large enough that tipping over is not an issue. Acacia is an Australian hardwood known for its density and rich color (a mix of orange, brown and reddish hues). These mats are very well made and come with an oiled finish. I would have given the product a 5-star rating, but although one of the mats appeared to have an oiled, natural (unstained) finish (the range of hues mentioned above), the other appeared to have been stained a very dark (and boringly consistent) mahogany color. Result--the 2 mats, intended to be located close to each other, don't even look like they're made of the same species of wood. Still a good value and maybe the effects of sun and weather will decrease the color variation between the 2.

This is exactly what i was looking for in the bathroom. I previously have had cloth rugs, which quickly become dirty and dingy. This board has ridges that provide an extra grip, along with four rubber pads for extra traction. My only concern would be the finish, which gives the board a shiny look and an ALMOST slippery feel, though i havent slipped one bit, even stepping on it with one foot fresh out of the shower.
