These little gems are perfect for cooling any drink that you don't want diluted. The most common use would be with whiskey or any other top shelf liquor that you want to savor the full flavor of. When I took them out of the freezer, they were just as cold as normal ice cubes, and seem to hold their temperature longer than ice cubes melt (I guess it has something to do with how much more dense they are).
They worked great, and I don't just appreciate them for cooling; it also really helps in a pinch when people (who I won't mention by name) forget to refill the ice tray. The set comes in a nice case with serving tongs and make a great gift for anyone with a liquor collection, especially if they have no idea that something like this even exist.

It is an interesting take on Ice Cubes for sure, the ability to cool liquid beverages down and not dilute them and is ideal for hard liquors that you want cold. Cognac, vodka, whiskey and tequila are just some beverages that work well cold, but I was thinking this may be good to test with other beverages as well that you don't want to water down. So let me just say this, they work but they warm up very fast, and room temperature liquids only get a little bit colder with a lot of the cubes in them. They do have to be cleaned, and then dried before putting them back to be refrozen or you end up with ice clinging and trapping them in the trays, sticking to the outsides of the steel, and I found they overall provide very little benefit over just cooling the entire beverage bottle for a few hours beforehand. They are great in a pinch, a warm bottle, just bought and you need to cool down a few cups, but honestly would have expected them to get colder and make the liquid temp cool down faster and colder than they did. I didn't see any signs of cracking or leaking and they held up well on being re-frozen and thawed 2 more times. I didn't find any real fault in the product itself however and they functioned well for what they are designed for.
