I received this item and immediately knew it would be trouble. The grammar on the outside of the box makes no sense. Anyway, the main problem is the bottom "shelf" of the stand. It is bent at a severe upward angle which inhibits just about anything from sitting down onto the shelf, especially if you have any type of case on your phone - even one that adds only a fraction to the bulk. I can understand the reason for it to be bent upward - that helps to hold a larger object (tablet) from flipping over backwards if placed on this stand; but it is bent up at a way too sharp of an angle and most tablets will not fit down onto the shelf anyway. The one good thing about the stand is that it is a nice strong piece of metal. Unfortunately this also means that I can't bend the shelf down a bit so that I can get some use out of it.

Seeing the item in person, I would never have purchased it had I known the design of the shelf. The picture makes it look more functional than it is. If the shelf were flatter, I would probably rate it much higher.

This is a rock-solid stand. I purchased it for my Samsung Galaxy S3. Sadly, most micro-USB cords have a mostly non-flexible plug-end that is too long to comfortably sit beneath the phone, so the phone is lifted off the stand by the cable. After trying several, I was able to find one that mostly works as long as I position it exactly right.

BEWARE, THIS SCRATCHES YOUR PHONE OR CASE!!!!

This is just a really dumb design flaw, and I hate dumb things, so I knocked off 2 stars.

The Problem:
Look on this product where the back of the phone touches the metal angle that holds it up. It's so obvious now, the phone is resting on a piece of aluminum! After only 2 days of use (+- 6 hours/day) it scratched up the back of my brand new phone case! UNACCEPTABLE.

The Solution:
Take two small pieces of sticky backed velcro (the soft side, not the rough side) and stick it on the aluminum to the area where the back of your phone rests to prop it up. this will provide a soft place for your phone to rest.

If you look at the picture I uploaded, it will make more sense.

Conclusion:
It is a nice sturdy holder with a silly oversight, if you do not plan to add the cushion, I would not advise for you to buy this product.

I've had this for several weeks and really like it--so much that I got one for my office, another for home, and one for my daughter. Simple design in a rigid yet light aluminum piece. I like how it allows you to use it while charging. It has what so far seems to be well-glued non-skid pads on four corners--won't scratch your desk, and provides a little grip.

But the cradle is only 2 1/2 inches wide--the width of an iPhone 5--and so it may not be wide enough for larger Android phones.

Can't beat the price for its functionality and quality!

This is small and light and packable for travel but a little tippy. It's too easy to knock the whole thing over when reaching for your bedside phone when it rings in the early morning. I wish the base was slightly bigger and that the angle at which it holds the iPhone was a tad less upright.

sturdy, weighty enough so it won't fall over. fits the moto x 2nd gen perfectly. i like mine the only minor issue i had was with my usb cable. when the phone for example is placed vertically the micro usb connector needs be either short and stubby or have enough flex to bend. i have a half dozen micro usb cables and only two would work. the others either had a connector that was too long or the cables were to rigid. you need a flexible and or short micro usb connector. just something to keep in mind. that said nice being able to work and not have to look down periodically to check the phone. also nice not having to worry about knocking it over (the last stand i tried fell over all the time). i have the silver and based on that no matter the color you select you will get a very metallic almost industrial look. for myself the price, form and function all good. as for devices as said fits my moto x perfectly but i have even placed my daughter's 8" tablet on it and it is stable.

I got this stand after a fairly extensive search for an elegant and minimalistic way to prop up my phones. There are several comparable products just here on Amazon - it came down to this and the Elago stands. I ended up going with BlueMart for its aluminum construction, minimalist design and great price (less than half of the Elago).

As you can see from my video review, the stand is a single piece of aluminum with decent thickness and mass. Build quality is nice - there was a small nick in the back of the stand, but it was cosmetic and didn't affect functionality in any way. There are places for rubber feet on the stand but it doesn't actually come with it. It's a nice touch - if you needed extra traction and stability, these placeholders would be handy for attaching extra rubber feet. I tested the stand as is, and it is very stable even on carpet with a HTC One and HTC Rezound (both in Seidio Surface cases) in both landscape and portrait orientations. The edges are slightly rough, but for the most part they rounded and not sharp at all. It probably isn't as nicely done as the Elago stand, but for about $10, it's not bad at all. I do think it can potentially scratch a naked HTC One or iPhone 5/5s. Personally I am going to keep the case on just to be safe.

The packaging looked a little suspect - it was taped up as if it was an open box or return item. The packaging's English description was riddled with misspellings and poor grammar. I was relieved when the stand itself turned out much better than the packaging would suggest. There's also a piece of yellow velcro inside the box for your cables. It's tacky and doesn't match the silver aluminum look. But this is pretty minor in my book.

All in all, a nice stand at a decent price.
