I purchased this to use as replacement traces on a circuit board. It works great for that.
The resistance is very low -- seems to be real copper with a light adhesive backing.

The ONLY issue is that because the width that I purchased (1/8 inch) is so narrow, the tape had a strong tendency to come off its roll and get all tangled up. The tape was sent securely sandwiched between two pieces of cardboard and sealed in a plastic bag. If you purchase the 1/8" width size of this tape, I strongly suggest leaving it between the cardboard to keep it from unraveling and carefully unrolling a little bit at a time as you need it. Again, it has a strong tendency to get all tangled up.

Update: Yay! This tape takes to soldering with traditional 60/40 tin/lead solder very well. I taped it to an existing circuit board, used a lot of flux on the exposed copper surface, and the solder flows smoothly and holds to it very well. I'm not sure if the adhesive would have eventually broken down from the heat of the soldering iron, but for the short amount of time that my soldering iron was actually on the copper tape, it wasn't long enough/not enough heat to break down the adhesion to the circuit board before the solder did its job.

The adhesive acts as an insulation, although I have no idea how long it will last before it breaks down, so I'm not trusting it to be used by itself as an insulation. What it does mean is that to "connect" from one piece of this tape to another, I can't just simply tape one piece over another -- I have to bridge the two pieces with a solder joint. Easy enough to do since the exposed copper side is very much compatible with ordinary tin/lead solder.

So far, this tape has exceeded my expectations for what I need it to do... serve as additional traces on an existing circuit board.

Arrived all tangled and unwound. It claims to have conductive adhesive, but the adhesive part is not conductive. Maybe it conducts like an A/C signal, but if you plan to use this in hobby electronics with DC voltage, it probably won't work. Every ohmmeter I hooked it up to just went crazy when I measured across the adhesive part. That being said, the other side is just a copper strip and of course will conduct DC just fine. The tape itself is really thin and flimsy. So in conclusion, you probably won't be happy with this unless you actually want to use it for EMI shielding as it is intended.

Works well, seems to conduct fairly well. It also takes solder well, no balling, so making junctions is really easy for when you absolutely need all conductivity (like for power feeds). One note though, if you get this, insert it into two cardboard squares to keep it from coming apart - save yourself some agony. This isn't a knock on the product, it keeps together pretty well, but it takes just one mishandling to have it come apart and make your life miserable - this goes for just about any metal tape that is very narrow. I speak from experience....

KEEP IT IN THE CARBOARD!!! do not take it out of the cardboard or you will be sorry. The product works, the adhesive backing is pretty good too. This was a bit wider than I wanted, so I cut it down the middle to fix my rear window defroster.

Never got the defroster to work though, not the fault of the product, the product showed 14v and continuity through out...I think maybe not enough resistance to heat up the foil.

but for other projects this could come in handy.

This foil is absolutely perfect for the thinner pieces of glass and the more detailed Tiffany-style creations. I would have given it five stars, but the ring on the inside was cracked. It doesn't seem like this would be an issue, but I use a dispenser that grips the ring. I had to tape it together to use it. The product itself, though, is flawless. Sticky, evenly cut, it's perfect!

Tape is great to fix damaged lines. Has great conductivity and is easy to use as long as you have a tape dispenser base. Only dificulty i had was that i needed the half of the tape(speaking in width) and used a xacto knife, if someone knows a better way please write it down. I also going to try with scisors, to see if its easier. Overal great item.

The copper tape is great, but the packaging is useless. Since the adhesive for this tape is under the peel-off paper layer, there is nothing to prevent the whole roll to slide apart into a giant rats nest of tangles. There should be either a mild adhesive on exposed side of the peel-off backing, or some kind of reel to dispense it from. I spent an hour trying to rewind the tape back on the reel after using just a few feet of it.

Great aid for setting up mock circuits. I use breadboards like most other people do but sometimes I need to see it laid out a little differently and this is the way to do it. I'm not sure exactly how much current you can run through this but I successfully soldered on it and powered some LEDs through it with a switch.
