My drive is black not red, same model. Easy one cable hookup. If you know how to use a DVD/CD/Blu-Ray Burner then this one is a great buy!!! Lightweight and portable with no need for an external power supply, it is powered by the computer through the USB port. This drive burns flawless copies time after time after time. Make sure you use good quality optical media with this drive and you are good to go.

I've hooked it up to my new laptop to try to load some software. I don't know and can't tell if the drive works or the software is loaded. I'm hoping one of my tech friends can look into it with me. I wish the device had come with more help for us "dinosaurs".
