The resistance is there, it's just VERY uncomfortable to use. It needs more padding. It also seems flimsy. I doubt it will last very long as it seems like the spring may snap. I pad mine with a small folded blanket and use it the best I can. So glad I only paid a few bucks for it, so no big loss. Now that I've felt the areas targeted I'll more than likely purchase an official Thigh Master.

everyone I know made fun of me for buying this (especially the people who are into working out) but I did it anyways because I have always wanted one!

I feel like I work hard using it, but I have never gotten sore! I feel like that means it's not working. it's also kind of uncomfortable and awkward to use.
