These have been my standard gloves for years and I still like them, but they have gotten rid of a nice feature. For the past few years they had a small pocket on one finger to help remove the glove. It worked like a charm and it is now gone.

These gloves are a good fit for my hand and seem to be decent quality. However, they are not comfortable. There are three seams that converge between the index finger and thumb which creates a very annoying point in the glove. On my first ride I thought I had something caught inside my glove, but when I stopped to check it out, it was just the way the glove was constructed. The left glove is more annoying than the right, but it is there is both gloves. After a 20 mile ride, both hands had sores because of this. Unfortunately there is no way to fix or smooth out this problem. The second issue is that the gel padding is slightly out of place (for my hands anyway) so there is no benefit. I'll be returning these and looking for a new pair of gloves.

i have never owned a pair of riding gloves. I was getting tired of my hands going numb so I decided to try a pair out. Basically, my hands didn't get as numb as quickly or as intensely as they do when riding without gloves. Can usually go about 8 miles before having to shake my hands out to get rid of the numbness, was able to go about 13-14 before hang to do a little shake out with the gloves. Not a cure all but better.

I bought these gloves for mountain biking and while they are constructed well they aren't the most comfortable gloves for gripping. The pad running across your hand under the fingers is in a very strange location to me. It doesn't really pad the bar and it just makes it more difficult for me to grip the bar. They fit my hands perfectly and I can wear them for hours but they just don't protect my hands very well from vibration. Overall I'm less than enthusiastic about these gloves.

The Pearl Izumi gloves fit well and appear to be durable. They are comfortable to wear. I often ride with my hands on the brake lever hoods, so I would like a little padding in the thumb-forefinger web. Otherwise I wouldn't change a thing.

I've been riding a lot of years bought these gloves for the padding. Well the padding is the worst thing about them. The pads are in almost exactly the wrong spots. The pad at the top of the palm makes the grip no the bars very uncomfortable and the pads at the base of the palm have a gap where the bar rests, making them worthless for cushioning the median nerve in the wrist.

Want more? The velcro closures are great - except for there is no additional fabric to grip in order to remove them from your hands.

On the positive side, they do run true to size and have a terri-cloth-like sweat wiper on the back. They seem well made and will probably hold up well - I'll never know because wearing no gloves at all is better than wearing these. Next time, I'm going to my local bike shop to try some on first.

Two stars because, maybe, your riding style is different or you don't find them as uncomfortable as I do. They are well made and look good.

Had my first opportunity to take these on a bike ride, and am not sure they are what I was hoping for. There is some think padding on the inside which seems like was placed there to offer extra cushioning between your hands and the handle bar of your bike, which makes sense. However, the extra padding gets in the way when you are trying to hold a water bottle. If I knew what I know now when I was deciding whether to purchase these gloves, I would not have, because I will probably not use them again.
