My child is enjoying this a lot. We are having fun with it.

Now, to begin with, I wouldn't have given this a 5 stars....I had trouble with the set up AND had an issue with my unit; but how the company handled it made me a raving fan and I will let others know about this product.

To begin with, the set up wasn't very easy. It took a few times to figure out how to "sync" it to my phone; but once it was up and running all seemed great. But 2 days later, our unit was dead. I put new batteries in and it was as good as new....we had a few days of fun with it.....and then the unit went dead again. Evidently it was draining the battery.
Now, I'm not one to email a company but thought I would go ahead and email in to troubleshoot and see if I were doing something wrong. They said it sounded like a faulty unit....they confirmed my order and sent me another one.....they made it very easy and DID THE RIGHT THING? Companies still do that? Who woulda thought!?

My 2 year old has caught onto how to use this and we will have fun going forward with it. And with another baby on the way....I know we will purchase another one for him, down the road, too.

It's a neat device. Great for little kids that don't yet know how to use a phone. Mine goes off frequently even if there isn't a new msg. I'm hoping it's just because I'm in an apartment and someone has something that is interfering with my devices frequency since I checked the batteries.

I purchased this as a gift for my 3 year old niece who lives a little distance away and who's parents travel. The toymail was VERY cute and well made. Perfect size for little hands. The app was very easy to set up.

But, best of all, it's a great intro to technology... my niece immediately understood how to reply back and found the little guy cute (even naming him 'Pete') - but knows that it's auntie or daddy "calling."

Great purchase, I'd recommend to any parent of a toddler or young child.

Initially, the price took me aback, but I decided it was worth the splurge for my out of state niece for Christmas. I must say, I'm absolutely thrilled with my decision to buy it for her and really, for us. We've had a lot of fun sending messages back and forth. Here's a picture of her toymail figure, who she call Petunia. A lot of reviewers have mentioned difficult setup, thankfully we didn't find it to be a problem at all. A great gift for children!

Fabulous way to stay in touch with my grandchildren who live far away. Safe way for kids to use electronics to stay in touch. This company/toymail has the best Customer Service I have ever experienced. Prompt assistance with Toymail set-up or for any questions or issues you might have. They went to the ends of the earth to solve the problem i had with my toy - created an update to the toy and app. Cant say enough good things about this company.

I purchased this toy a year ago, right after it first came out. It has been awesome sending messages back and forth between my niece and I (she lives a few states away). Recently I had a problem with the itunes app on my iPhone 4s. I contacted toymail and they immediately corrected the problem with the best customer service I have received in a long time. I was able to get messages once again. Considering this is the first toy of this kind, I have had a great time with it. I have never had to purchase extra stamps because they give you free ones every month. If you come across problems, reach out and get some help! I think this toy is priceless.

We purchased several of these to message back and forth with our grandchildren. After initial setup have had no problems. Did reach out to customer service and they were fast and friendly helping us connect to our home wifi.

I reside out of state three states away from my children. This device is great. After footprinting the device to my phone, I can leave 20 second messages to my children anytime I want and they can send and receive as many messages they want. The downside is the fact that you can only leave a 20 second message. So, speak fast or get to the point of what you are saying when using this device. Sending and receiving messages is also a free service Toymail provides to their customers.
