Great small safe that met my needs. It has a solid double bar locking system that would make prying the door open difficult. I had to use the included emergency key to initially open the safe door as following the directions included with the safe did not work. Once the door was open, setting the digital combination was very easy. The four required AA batteries were included along with two bolts to secure the safe to a wall or cabinet.

It's Junk.
Stalwart Safe Model 65-E17.
I'm repairing mine currently which is easier than dealing with the infamous Woot Support. Out of the box the door was jammed and the instructions read open door 1st step, well I tried then I TRIED and heard "crack" had it open enough to see lock bolts halfway shut/open, pry off the key cover then used key turning counter clockwise did not work? What, it's right there in Black & White Step 1 & 4. So to get it open had to turn key while turning open knob, back and forth, until the bolts were free. Upon opening 2 of 3 screws holding locking mechanism broke off with their Plastic base still attached to screw and backside of door (2 on right side looking at back). So I removed the one screw still holding it on and began with the Krazy Glue repairs. Final Opinions: Junk for the Price, feels cheap controls are far from precise which is a requirement when building safes or so I thought, we now know what happens to thinkers, someone will ship em a Stalwart Safe. I thought I bought a step up from my old safe, which I gave away after ordering this claptrap, Do I tell them I need it back if I cannot fix it, what I ended up with was an expensive puzzle with a very cheap feel. Once repaired a gift for my Son, I purchased two newer and tougher safes for weapons. I spend fair size of income with Amazon so Do Not rip me off again, improve returns department.

I purchased this on Woot and it is perfect for my needs (keeping pills, money and other valuables from my family member). The directions said to unlock the safe with the key, insert the included batteries, change the code, and I'd be all set. If a code did come with the safe (I didn't notice one in the directions), it wouldn't have worked when I received the safe because the batteries weren't installed. But once I followed the three simple steps, I was up and running. I don't enjoy setting things up, but this truly was painless.

My relative could definitely pry this open, and they could probably get it open with a hammer or sawzall. It's a cheap safe, and I can't pretend it's impenetrable. In fact, I suspect almost any adult could gain access in under five minutes. Plus, it practically announces itself as the spot where all the most tempting valuables reside, and it's big enough that it's tough to hide in a small apartment. But, it serves its purpose perfectly in that I will know immediately if it has been opened. There is no quick and easy way to gain access without using the code/key or lockpicks that will not cause serious, visible damage. I am thrilled with the safe for that reason alone. I can rest easy knowing my belongings won't sneak away unnoticed.

If my relative starts picking locks, I'll have to try again, as the lock on this safe appears to be simple, as it uses what looks like a luggage key. Perhaps it's sturdier than I think, but for the price I imagine now. But for now, I couldn't be happier.
