First off, it is a little confusing, but this is just one clip that has red LED lights. The picture showed two clips side by side. Presumably the left item shows the product with the red lights off and the right shows the LED lights operating. There are two modes to the light. If you hit the button once, then all three red LED lights stay continuously on. Hit the on button a second time and the light begins flashing. The lights are very bright. I bought the clip to hook to the back of my running cap to increase my visibility. It works great for that. The clip is a little difficult to get off and on clothing, but that does not affect me. I use a Cyclops Micro Mini on the front of the hat and find that the two coupled with my Nathan reflective vest do the trick for me. This unit does use two watch batteries, so you might buy a multipack of watch batteries and a set of precision screwdrivers to open the case.

this thing isn't work a few bucks. seriously. $9??? it is NOT worth it. should be more like 3-4. it's ONE casing. it shines red. in this picture it makes it look like 2. when it arrived? the pin holding the clasp on was halfway out. if you're using it on a strap? you need to take pliers and force the pin into the hole. and then wrap packing tape around it so just in case you 'look down' suddenly it's gone. the teeth on the back are USELESS. do NOT buy this.

I bought this for a Ragnar Relay, since they require a red flashing backlight. I clipped it onto my high-visibility running vest, and was sufficiently obnoxious for the whole night. The clip holds on strong, and the battery life is pretty respectable.
