Damn man the indicator light is so bright! It was so strong that I now just have like 5 levels of thin masking tape over it just to reduce it down to something not blinding me, but still visible.
I can't speak to how this devices holds up to a surge and I hope to never see it have to it but let's review the other aspects of this surge protector.
The fact that this surge protector is effectively an expansion of a typical 2-socket wall outlet with a pair of USB ports is pretty sweet overall. The two usb ports frees you up to plug in other devices instead of silly phone charger power bricks that sometimes rival my networking equipment's. The 6 sockets have rotating covers to help prevent accidents but it's extremely easy to turn so it's not child proof. The thickness profile of the wall surge protector is pretty reasonable for what it does.
