I bought these socks for me for Christmas last year and the calf portion is made for a child, not an adult. It's so tight and it feels like a size meant for baby compression socks. And there's no give.

These socks came up in my search for soccer socks for my 10 year old daughter. They are very thick and nice to look at but WAY TOO TIGHT TO GO OVER SHIN GUARDS. My daughter was unable to put them on by herself. Although I was able to get them on for her, the effort that it took just wasn't worth it and so we put them in a charity donation bag. Great socks if you don't need them to do over shin guards, but definitely not for soccer or field hockey (or any other sport that needs shin guards)
