This cupcake stand is a hot mess! Despite the very mixed reviews on this item, I decided to take a chance on it. I was hoping that I'd luck out and get a 5-Star version of this product but, alas, I got a 1-Star. To be fair, the product as a whole isn't nearly as terrible as some of the other reviewers made it seem. The white trays appear to be perfectly capable of supporting the weight of cupcakes and while they aren't super strong, they're not paper plate thin either. What IS a disaster, and trumps any other problem one may find with it, is the base! They base is so crooked that, once assembled, the entire cupcake stand looks like the Leaning Tower of Piza. It's a joke. And if you try and bend the base so that the center bolt goes straight up and down, the rusty weld were the three legs meet starts to chip and flake.
They say a home is only as good as it's foundation...and the same goes for a cupcake stand!!! The base of this renders this product USELESS! I am so terribly disappointed. I will reach out to the company and see if they will replace the base, because I do believe if this was level, it could totally serve my needs. No, it's not fancy, but if you're showcasing your cupcakes and like the symmetry and the "tree" design of this piece, it's a decent trade off. IF you get the magic 50% that come with a straight base!! Will update my review and photos should the seller make good on their product.

I bought this last minute before a birthday party last year. I had the intention of buying a "nicer" one later on but I didn't have to. I am very happy with this one. It is easy to assemble and unassemble, the pieces all screw together by hand, and it looks nice too. It can hold all 24 cupcakes from one homemade batch. What I also like is that the tiers are plastic and very easy to clean. I definitely recommend this product, even if you only use it once or twice a year for birthday parties like me.
