Ingredients

Organic Corn Flour, Organic Quinoa Flour.

Directions

Basic cooking instructions:
1. Bring 4 quarts of water to a rapid boil.
Optional: add 2 tbsp. oil to water.
2. Add pasta into the boiling water.
3. Return to boil, stirring frequently. Cook uncovered for 6 - 9 minutes. Do not overcook. (Water will turn yellow from the corn starches, this is normal).
4. Drain.
For cold dishes, rinse and lightly coat with oil. For hot dishes, drain and add your favorite sauce.

Was very surprised at how nice these tasted. The consistency is slightly different than traditional pasta. The water will turn yellowish when u boil them, do not worry this is normal. Paired very well with tomato based sauce. Have not tried it for cold pasta salad but I am sure it would be good.

This is one of the go-to pastas if you are living gluten-free or wheat-free. It is made of quinoa and corn. What makes a good gluten-free pasta? In my opinion: 1) ability to cook the batch evenly, not a combination of overcooked, just right and undercooked; 2) able to hold together and not fall apart in the pan or before you eat it; 3) good texture as close to al dente (wheat) pasta as you can get; 4) good flavor similar to refined wheat flour.

The only downside is if you have to avoid corn this will not be for you.

I rate this 5 stars = I Love It.

Note: Wheat farmers are subsidized by the US Government so the price of wheat is kept lower than it should be. Non-wheat grains wind up costing double. Given that fact, I don't downgrade ratings of gluten-free grain foods due to being double the cost. If you have to live gluten-free and choose to eat grains just accept the fact that those foods will never be half the cost like the wheat prices you were used to.

Couldn't tell the difference between this and regular veggie pasta. Easy to overcook and will become mushy if you do. I brought it to a boil, turned down to a simmer, added pasta, and let it cook for about 6 minutes.

We had a birthday dinner; 17 people attended. We tried 4 different pastas with a meat sauce--the party wasn't as boring as this sounds. Ancient Harvest was the hands down winner. The texture was a little soft/crumbly, but even so everyone thought it was the closest to the "real thing."

If I ever host someone who is gluten-free, this will be my go-to product.

Tastes and nice marketing words aside, we bought this but could not tell the ratio corn:quinoa in this product.The rating tries to question this very misleading piece of information. The manufacturer recently changed the packaging for the product greatly enlarging the word Quinoa; previous packaging with the same composition only mentioned Supergrain Pasta. This is not something to inspire trust.

As the manufacturer proudly yells quinoa on the package, one would think in this pasta quinoa is at least 60%. Then why not say it clearly on the package?

If you want to believe that the truth is out there, then by all means imagine you are eating 95% quinoa with 5% grain. Since however the corn is at least 5 fold cheaper than quinoa per pound and that the manufacturer carefully hides this behind well crafted marketing, I tend to think this organic quinoa pasta has mainly corn with a dust of quinoa.
