Counterfeit knock-off, but STILL so good so far

I have not used this battery charger very much, but want to get my initial review up right away to let everyone know that this is a copy of the Samsung OEM Battery charger. I own an authentic Samsung EP-B600CEWU to which I can compare. This knock-off is intended to be misinterpreted as an OEM battery charger (as I did). Without the real think in your hand, it would be difficult to know the difference, but when you have the two side by side, it is clear.

That said, it did successfully charge one of my batteries. I will continue to use it and will report if I have an trouble with it.

The product listing does not identify this as a Samsung product and does not even reference a Samsung model/part number. The product as shipped has "Samsung" printed on the front cover of the cover of the unit and the label on the inside says "Samsung". The Amazon photos do not show this Samsung branding. I deducted two stars for this deception. I suspect that Samsung might catch on and have this product removed.

Like the Samsung battery charger, this one came with a clear film cover, protecting the plastic from scratches during packaging and shipping. But, unlike the Samsung product, it was impossible to get it all off without the liberal use of alcohol and a few rags... a real mess.

I added photos of this product that show what this non-Samsung product really looks like (the vendor edited the photos of the charger before posting them here) and compares this battery charger to it's authentic Samsung OEM battery charger. Let me be clear, this product is not advertised here as a Samsung product. But, the product as shipped has Samsung markings on it and is almost indistinguishable from the Samsung battery charger... clearly a counterfeit.Read more ›

This product is fake

I don't recommend this product to anyone. I tried charging my battery with this and it didn't work at all. The box feels very cheap and made out of very weak plastic. This seller is a hoax. Please don't waste your time and money on this product like I did. I thoroughly regret purchasing this item.

I love that this is a charger and a case to protect a spare battery. It works great and I would recommend it to anyone that is out for long periods of time. Now I dont need to worry about using too much power on my galaxy.

The front of the casing does not stay fully secured,it stays slightly open just a bit,but I'm sure after time it will loosen and become worse.The plug in is finicky,if the cord while plugged in is moved a certain way the light showing its being charged goes out showing its no longer charging,leaving you to adjust it until it's charging again.
But all in all it does what it should,and for the cheap price I say it's worth it to save the money.

This is one of the best things I've bought this year. It's so nice being able to know I will always have battery. It works very well keeping my spare charged on my car charger, home charger or if I'm visiting a friend I can charge without leaving my phone around. It's everything you would want.

This not even last 2 months, when I try to register this product on Samsung, the Model number doesn't exists.
Original Samsung Chargers for the Galaxy S4 have other model number and they have 1 YR warranty.
I believe this product is a fake copy, I wasted my money.

They work, are branded, but seem light

These are not as bad as some have described them, but they do seem to be knock-off. They are packaged and branded, apparently for sale in China. They did come with batteries which seem to work fine. I ordered two of them: both have plug issues, feeling a bit loosey-goosey when you plug into them; the lights on one works most of the time, the lights on the other one may or may not turn red when plugged in and does not ever turn green when charged, though the lights may cycle through red, amber and green when first plugged in. I can't compare to a "real" product, having never handled one, but they seem less substantial than I'd expect by comparison to other Samsung products that I own. They do affordably allow my wife and I to each carry a charged battery back-up, which was our goal.

It does its job. it charges the battery fast..and is really convenient.

On the other hand it does discharge the battery once u unplug the charger...what i do is i charge it and take the battery off the case i dont really need to charge it and have it in it.....i will buy this again if it breaks there' s no need to spend 40 for the original one .......
