i needed these beans for a special Fathers Day dinner. I paid for expedited shipping so two pounds of beans cost me $23. I soaked the beans overnight then slow cooked them in my crockpot. I checked them at 8, 10 and 11 hours cooking and they were still tough. This is a sign of beans that have been shelved for too long. These beans were stale and therefore wouldn't cook. Very disappointed.
