Built nicely but I'm not sure if i resourced a bad batch or is how they are. I ordered 4 and all 4 had the rough side facing out. Being i was using these as a present i really didn't have time to return them so i had to sand the fronts to make it work. Because like i said they are well made and i couldn't just flip them around.

It is rough-side out, but a little sanding is no big deal. However, when I received it two planks were not held down by the staples. I will have to find a different way to fasten these down, maybe hot glue or something. I was kind of hoping for the price they would at least be fastened well. It is a good size to hang on the wall, accurate measurements provided. I can't wait to paint it.

I dismantled these for the wood to make some furniture and it was perfect. They're glued AND stapled so it was tough to get them to come apart, so if you're looking for something sturdy these will definitely do the trick.
