This item works. That being said it has no volume control - so this is a close proximity device - you can hear it, but be close, 10 maybe 15 feet. It includes batteries (already installed - nice) but upon arrival the batteries were low on power - had to replace - not fun(you need a micro screwdriver - it's a fiddly process). The cricket noise is too quiet.

I RECEIVED THIS ITEM PUSHED THE BUTTONS...NO SOUND. I EVEN REPLACED THE BATTERIES WITH NEW ONES AND IT STILL DID NOT WORK. STUFF LIKE THIS SHOULD BE TESTED FIRST. I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO HAVING IT.
