There is no way this stuff stretches over any fitting that would come on a 3/8" line (gas, oil, brake, or otherwise). I ended up having to buy 1/2" for my 3/8" lines (so it would stretch over the fittings, and then it ended up loose on the line itself), the only thing I could find a use for the 3/8" was for wires… Product works as it should, but sizing is an issue. Get the larger size for whatever line size you're trying to cover.

This stuff is great! I use it as more of an abrasion shield though for aluminum fuel lines on my airplane. Where they are exposed in the cockpit, it provides a nice finishing touch that looks good and protects them a little.

Ten foot is quite a bit to work with. I bought this to protect my starter wiring harness on my 62 Plymouth that I am putting headers on so I will update this when it gets some real world heat experience. I had no problems stretching the sheath over the original terminal ends or the original hard heat shield material. I do wish they included more than two shrink wrap ends. I used a 24" piece on my harness and plan to make wire boots from the rest of the material by rolling it into itself and sliding them on the wires. For the price, much much better than ready made boot covers for a fraction of the price.

Worked great on my wiring harness I'm installing on my truck. I shopped every auto parts store and hardware store in my area and I couldn't find any thing like this available. Only bad thing is they only include 2 shrink tubing pieces for the ends. I'd imagine I'm not the only person to cut the tubing to length and use the remainder on a different wire. If they included at least 4 shrink tube ends I'd give 5 stars. I was able to purchase more shrink tubing at a local store for my other pieces.

This 1/2" size is an EXACT perfect fit for fuel hose with Inside Diameter of 5/16" or 8mm. Fuel hoses usually are measured according to their ID, but usually a 5/16 or 8mm ID fuel hose will have OD (outside diameter) of 13mm or 1/2".
These size fuel hoses are commonly used on M70 BMW, which is what I used this for.

Used this on my miata power wire. The battery is in the back of the car and the power wire runs to the front right next to the exhaust. I feel a lot safer with this stuff around the wire to make sure it doesn't melt. The reason for 4 starts is I'm not a huge fan of the heat shrink that comes with this. Because my wire was a little smaller than recommended I ended up using some zip ties and some slightly smaller heat shrink. If the heat shrink was a little longer it might have worked. It's pretty short for such a long piece of heat wrap.

This was a waste of money. I tried to protect emergency brake cables from exhaust header heat and it did nothing other than costing me $1500 to replace and install new cables. The Emergency brake cables melted as if there was no protection on them at all. This product is not worth any expenditures. It will not work as advertised.

I've bought this stuff a few times now. First to heat shield a fuel line on my 48 F-1. Had some left over so I used it on wiring inside the rear fender on my 77 FXE. Liked it so much that I bought some more to do all My oil lines. I used the included heat shrinks to go over the fittings and it looks nice.

Works good but just make sure you get a size larger than the hose you are using it with. I ordered the 1/2" for my 3/8 hoses and fits very tight high is what I wanted.
