This is the BEST lap desk ever. I've had a few in the past, and all seemed to have one or two flaws (too heavy, laptop would slide, etc.) But this lap desk is amazing! The surface is smooth and flat, unlike many other lap desks that are slightly tilted and often cause a laptop to slide.

It is very lightweight, so when I am done working on my laptop I can easily place it on the end table next to me without feeling like I am straining with a heavy, bulky lap desk. Literally, when it arrived at my door I worried the lap desk wasn't even in the box because when I lifted the box from the porch it was so incredibly light.

The colors are true to the picture. The pink is bright and fun and the damask pattern is awesomely cute!!!

I also love how the surface is flat and smooth, because it works great when I am relaxing on the couch and need a smooth surface to write out my grocery list or to-do lists.

I've always struggled with the power cord on my current laptop (it would always jiggle loose from the side of the laptop where it plugs in) but thanks to the elastic accessory straps, I tucked the cord under them for support and YES! Now the cord stays snugly in place no matter how many times I adjust my seating position on the couch.

My 15" laptop fits nicely on this lap desk with a little room to spare. **Special note** When I say there is a "little room to spare", I mean there is about an inch extra on all 4-sides.

The cushion on the bottom is super soft and comfortable, and seems to protect well from overheating. BEST purchase I've made in a long time!!!

Perfect size, comfortable, and effectively prevent my computer from overheating (as opposed to putting the laptop on a pillow or a blanket). When used on this lap desk, my laptop's internal temperature stays the same as it is on my glass desk.

I just received my Lap Desk. It has a cheap plastic smell, but I can already tell it's fading. It's very nice to look at and a lot more comfortable than I thought it would be!
I use the bottom left strap to hold the corner of my Mac Air in place. It does slide around a tiny bit on its own without the strap, but it's nothing that bothers me. It doesn't feel like my Mac is getting too hot and now that there's the lap pillow between me and my mac, neither will my legs! lol
The pillow is really comfortable as well. It's not overly soft so you're shifting the pillow around a lot, it's firm but soft against your lap. The fabric isn't itchy or uncomfortable either. I'm very impressed and happy with my purchase.

I love it more than the ones filled with styrofoam balls. It's very sturdy and the stretchy straps are awesome. When you don't want to use them, you can flip them backwards and they won't be in your way. But when you do want to use them, they hold everything very well, from papers to laptops. I use it for my nails too and it helps a lot! It's such a universal product. And is made very well!

This lap desk has nice lines, the pad was a little thin (thus only four stars) and it seemed sturdy enough for light to medium use. The only problem I had with it - and I returned this desk - was it wasn't as large as I needed. This is not Amazon's fault nor the LapGear's fault. The dimensions were listed correctly. It's just when I received it that I realized I wasn't going to be able to fit a full-sized college textbook on it and still have room for writing. So I had just underestimated the amount of room I was going to need.

I ended up ordering the Honey-Can-Do TBL-02869 Portable Lap Desk with Handle, 23 by 16 by 2.5-Inch, Black because it is huge (23 inches wide) and am very happy with it.
