Let me start by saying I never write reviews, but if I can save someone 8 bucks... here it goes: I was excited to get this polish last week while Christmas shopping. I used it this morning and the texture is way too much for me. I love glitter polish- maybe a little too much for my age (29), so even though the ad showed this color with texture, I felt I could handle it.... but I can't. It's like halloween nerds were melted on my nails with specks of glitter. Not loving it. I used Orly topcoat (which I love) and it did not help. Maybe the other encrustes

I rarely write reviews. However, this product was so horrible that I felt compelled to write a negative review. I brought this product to my regular nail salon, and as my nail tech was applying it to my toes, she stopped and asked me if I was sure I wanted it. Because I didn't get a really close look at it and I had purchased it especially for the holidays, I told her that I would stick with this color. When I got home, my husband (who never say anything negative about my polish choices) was totally grossed out and said it looked like a fungus. Unfortunately, I had to agree with him. In addition to the crusty texture, it peels off way too easily. My polish usually lasts at least 2 weeks, but this one lasted only a few days. Essie is one of my favorite nail polish brands, but this particular one was an epic fail.

I had high hopes for this nail polish. But the first time I tried it it was horrible! It was very gritty and chunky and was a pain to even apply to my nails. I had to take it off immediately. And I might have stuck with it if the glitter was actually visible but it wasn't.

Not a fan of this textured nail polish whatsoever. It just looks messy and doesn't feel great on your nails. Would not recommend this polish.

this nail polish is yuck. it goes on poorly, dries poorly, and I did not realize that it was a textured polish. It's gritty and just nasty looking no matter how you apply it. VERY DISAPPOINTED. the glitter looks better in the bottle, but it is covered by a nasty, gritty layer of yucky black mucky polish when applied. TERRIBLE!!

"Holographic jet lace" does NOT accurately describe this nail polish. If you are like me and not a total nail polish nerd that knows everything about every nail polish collection, you would have NO idea from looking at this bottle of nail polish that it is indeed a TEXTURED NAIL POLISH. It's filled with glitter and caviar type balls. I was not expecting that when I picked out this polish at Ulta. I just thought it was a black polish with big flecks of glitter in it.

Even if I HAD known that it was a textured nail polish, it applies HORRIBLY. I recommend polishing your nails with a thin coat of another solid black nail polish BEFORE attempting to apply this nail polish. You can't get in the cracks or apply it evenly at all. It should be used more like a top coat rather than a polish you could apply two coats of and leave. I don't know how to would look with a top coat but I'm going to try it since I hate the feeling of these sharp bumpy things all over my nails! ICK!

Textured nail polishes are great when they're the right combination of texture and polish. This just fails miserably. Other reviewers are saying it's "chunky" and I think they're being generous. The way this polish looks when dry is comparable to a chunk of black tar that's been dragged down the road and happened to pick up some glitter along the way. It's thick, but not consistent. It's glittery, but the tar aspect is overpowering. Applying it is a process, simply because it all comes off the brush in one thick glob, and doesn't spread. It's a matte "polish" so in the end it just looks dirty and a bit pathetic.

All said, this deserves a zero star rating. Or maybe a -8, so as to make up for the price tag.
