I'm not a great welder, I'm sort of new to wire feed and still learning. This seems to work well and a bit more forgiving than the small coil that came with my Hobart Handler 190. (this larger .045 vs original .030 or .035 might be the difference) Slag seems pretty minimal and removes very easily. I did have to drill out one of my tips because I didn't have any for larger wire like this.

I was lucky in that the price was cut because of minor box damage. Getting a full new coil of this for just under $17 shipped makes it an even sweeter deal.

This is Good FC wire at a good price and multi-pass capable vs. the E71T-GS wire. I ran this at 125amps in a 220v DC welder for a recent outside job with 1/8 - 3/16 butt and fillet welds in all positions, all good with right technique, didnt seem to like overhead though... but i also know that some of that is me. Read elsewhere that this FC wire spatters quite a bit in some 110v welders, this is true IF its AC output vs. DC output. Some of the inexpensive 110v wire feeders output AC, I have one, and it spatters like crazy, less so with higher amperage.. will be the same with virtually any FC wire you use on AC output. If you run on DC as recommended, the spatter is very minor. So check the output of your welder to make sure its DC vs. AC. ... and DCEN vs.DCEP. You will be much happier in the long run.

it works,,, noticeable more splatter than other wire..i would rather spend a few more bucks on different wire next time.. need a spacer adapter to use on a small mig....shaft is to short.. spacer works well.

Does it weld? Yes. However the smoke is more acrid than others I've used. It also tends to spatter worse. The plus: cheapest flux wire I've found. The next time, I'll spend a couple dollars more, and try something different.
