We have 3 of these in our shipping department (this being the 3rd). Works like a charm, how it should. Sealing bags greater than 1.5 mil is a challenge, and even 1.5 mil don't easily seal so it takes some care. No problem at all with 1 mil bags, it seems that's what these sealers are designed for, 1 mil and less. For the thicker bags, we just cut a snip of poly tape and manually seal it. The bag cutter feature seems more of a gimmick than a practical use feature. We just cut the excess ends off with scissors. A bit of advice, be careful with your thumbs when sealing, sometimes you'll scrape them against the metal edges when pressing the bag down. It's happened to me a number of times. Now I always keep my thumbs as far away as possible when using this sealer. Overall a great, cheap way to seal poly bags and give them that professional look.

Our go-to for sealing Kettle Corn bags. We used to use an impulse sealer, but this is much faster! Study and does not slip on our counter.

This is a very good device. Before I bought this one, I tried one from Eastman Outdoors that I bought at Walmart. What complete joke that was! Just awful! The Tach-it E7R on the other hand, is awesome. We did about 200 1lb bags of burger and sausage this year with it and it worked flawlessly. I highly recommend this device.

With no instructions it took a bit to figure it out, but I finally got it working. It works so so. Even though my bags weren't that thick it was a struggle getting them twisted small enough to fit in the slot. When you could get it lined up to work and the bag twisted really tight, it worked pretty good.

I like this product and it does what it says but I wish it came with at least 1 roll of 3/4" bag sealing tape to get started. I thought it would so I was a little shocked when I had to buy a 12 pack of that tape for $66 just so I could use this (the smallest package of tape I could find). I wish I would have known that up front.

This product should be sold working out of the box and without the tape it's doesn't in my opinion... So if you are going to buy this make sure to buy the tape at the same time.

Update. I have learned to use this correctly. Giving it a 5 star rating. The twist in the bag must be tight and a gentle downward movement seals the tape and makes a clean cut . Original comment: Only reason 4 stars is sometimes the tape slips and doesn't seal. Could be operator error, otherwise it is great. I use it all the time , I package 120 lbs of grind monthly.
