I bought these after reading an article about a chef who uses them to chase out post-curry, fish, Thai, etc. smells from her kitchen. They are really smudging sticks, people use them to bless and clear spaces, but they are also GREAT as removing smells! Usually I use them later in the evening after I've cooked something odoriferous, I light one up from the gas stove, actually, the fire goes out right away and it smokes (kind of like incense), and then I just walk around the kitchen and wherever the smell seems to have traveled. Works like a charm.

Speedy delivery and the product came as I expected - fresh minty smell. When it burns, it lets off a beautiful scent that gives a wonderful wood/refreshing smell to our home. The sticks are great sizes and I truly believe there is a difference between Peruvian Palo Santo sticks versus sticks from Ecuador. When we relight the sticks, the smoke is always white which equates to great quality. Other sticks I have burn black smoke when relit and often hurts our throats. These are good and are great quality!

Smells great! Ordered this over a month ago and i still have not burned through the entire first stick. The scent is cleansing and fresh without being overwhelming. It's wonderful for getting rid of pet odors as well! And the package will last you forever.

Not too happy with this..
I don't like to write reviews that aren't positive, especially when everyone works so hard to create good products, but something isn't right in thiscase.
I've use Palo Santo for years and when I saw a big bag like this for a good price, and it had enough good reviews good reviews, I ordered. It's palo santo, what could be wrong. For reference, I've always bought it in spiritual books stores or healing centers, so I know what I am buying because they are already using it as incense.

When I opened the bag, it smelled very strong. It actually smelled like an essential oil mix more than palo santo. When I took it out, my fingers smelled like it. They were big sticks, too, so it looked good.

After a little while, the strong smell faded once the bag was opened.

I lit it and it basically smelled like burning a piece of wood.

I'm not an expert in palo santo aka Holy wood, and maybe authentic Palo Santo Sahumerio is just very different than the kind I have used in the past or that has been used in ceremonies that I have been, too.

Lastly, I found out there are no returns to this company. Amazon was very courteous and took care of this for me, though.
If you know of a good brand available on amazon, let me know.

The scent of this Palo Santo is divine. The pack I received contained eight pieces of wood. Four pieces were 6 and 1/2 inches long and approximately 1" thick and 4 pieces of wood were approximately 4 and 1/2 inches long and approximately 1 inch thick. One of the four smaller pieces of wood was only about 1/2 inch thick. I keep my wood stored in an air tight baggie so the scent will last. I feel this Palo Santo was worth the money.
