I love this stuff! I'm not a big fan of drinking plain ol' water, but with 2 squirts of this liquid tea flavoring, I am ready to hydrate all day long! I was just about to add this product to my Subscribe & Save list, but then I read the ingredients and sadly had to change my mind.

The problem is that this product contains caramel coloring made with sulfites. This is a known carcinogen that is made by reacting sugars with ammonia and sulfites under high pressure and temperatures. Chemical reactions result in the formation of 2-methylimidazole and 4-methylimidazole, which in government-conducted studies caused lung, liver, or thyroid cancer or leukemia in laboratory mice or rats. [Chan PC, Hills GD, Kissling GE. Toxicity and carcinogenicity studies of 4-methylimidazole in F344/N rats and B6C3F1 mice. Arch Toxicol. 2008;82(1):45-53.]

So, although it's delicious and I would highly recommend it for its flavor, I cannot in good conscience buy it, drink it or recommend it until I see the ingredient list change. I'm sure Lipton could find another way to color this stuff without endangering people's health.

We were introduced to this product with the 'Tropical Mango' flavor for starters, and liked it. Then, we recently tried the Black Cherry, which is my favorite flavor. 'Summer Peach' is my daughter's favorite, and it's very tasty. I have used Lipton tea products for over 20 years, and this new Tea&Honey Liquid is a sensation.

I purchase different flavors not only for a variety in taste, but to make sure we drink enough, especially in the brutal hot summer in AZ. We like to be able to take out a cold bottle of water, and simply add a few squirts of Tea & Honey Liquid. In addition, I like not having to worry about using sugar.

There are other benefits also, such as carrying this tiny plastic container, while on the go. It also gives you the opportunity to add as little, or as much as you wish. Most important, it satisfies our quench for thirst. We now have different flavors, and will indeed add new flavors to our collection. Worth every penny, especially when one bottle makes up to 24 servings, and it's only 10 calories per Fl. OZ. Highly recommended!

Lipton Tea and Honey Liquids, Summer Peach is an acceptable alternative to brands like Mio or Dasani.

The bottle is bigger and delivers a larger splash than competitive products. Since they use honey for flavor and sweetening (also uses Sucralose) it takes more fluid to deliver the same amount of flavor as a product that uses only the more concentrated artificial sweeteners.

I don't find the taste intense enough (in an 8-9 oz glass of water). Double shot is an improvement but then you've doubled the cost.

If I saw this on a shelf next to Mio and Dasani I'd buy the cheapest one.

We primarily use these to add flavor to regular iced tea in the summer. That is we brew a pot of actual tea and then squirt some of this into it to make it peach-flavored, etc. I also keep a bottle at work for a quick drink in the afternoon. While this product has more tea flavor than any of the other competitors I've tried, I would still like even more actual tea flavor in my iced tea. So 4/5 for that reason.

Everybody needs water. For bathing and cleaning, water does a fantastic job.
For drinking, plain water does the job of hydration, but it has no flavor.
This Lipton (liquid) Ice Tea Mix allows you to convert a bottle of water into a tasty beverage. The 2.5 oz bottle is handy. Just open any water bottle, take a small sip of water, then squirt in some of the ice tea mix. The concentrated mix is just sweet enough to add flavor.

Tip: Shake, Squirt, then briskly add water. It will mix nicely as it fills - No spoons or stirring needed as with powdered mixes.

Lipton Liquid Iced Tea & Honey Mix with summer peach tastes very good to me with a sweet peachy Lipton Iced Tea flavor. This tastes a lot like Lipton Iced Tea sweetened flavor powdered mixes with a peach taste added.

How intense the Iced Tea flavor relates directly to how much you squeeze out (obviously). It took me a couple tries to learn how much was just right for my taste and my usual 16oz glass. The bottle says it has 24 8oz servings. I expect I'll get less as I like more intense flavor and therefore use more of the mix.

Note that this mix has Caffeine - about 10mg with the recommended portion for an 8oz glass..

The Lipton Liquid Iced Tea Mix does not require refrigeration, so is great for an easy flavor shot in office water. The small size means it will probably fit neatly standing up in an office drawer, or slip discretely into a pocket or purse, or bag. I think it's great for these sort of uses and shines as a convenience flavoring and worth what seems a premium price.

On the other hand, I don't think it shines so bright for making pitchers of iced tea and I don't think that's the target market.

If you want a pitcher of iced tea either use Lipton Iced Tea Mix, Lemon powdered version, albeit not peach flavored. For about $1 more than this product get two 28 quart packages vs one 24 8oz glasses.Read more ›
