This light works very well. The only thing that would make this better was if it had a secondary switch for night time lighting. I use this in a school, and when summer or long breaks come along, the light will either have to be on fully, or off...

I put one of these on my tank and the plants are finally growing how I always wanted them to. I like that I can shift the lights around - with more pods on one side than the other. I have low light plants on the left side of my tank so I only have a few pods there. The 48 inch fixture does bow a little and could be made from stronger material, but overall I am happy with the quality for the price.

I have two of these lights in a 125 gallon freshwater. I added numerous pods of Hi-Def. Absolutely love the look. And the low profile certainly helps with the overall appearance. I recommend these to any tank owner. The plastic lenses are easy to remove and can be cleaned with a wet rag. Helps keep em clear to maximize the light output. I accidently broke a lens and contacted the company for a replacement. Was sent a new lens at no cost to me. Excellent customer service. The only downfall is the metal brackets rust pretty quickly. But, that isn't enough of an issue to lower my rating.

I have a 24" and I don't like it. It came with 6 pods and I've purchased 6 more and it still isn't bright enough to support average plant life.
