I got this toy for my pointer mix when I adopted him at 2 years old. It was his favorite thing in the world. He would carry it around, chew on it, tug at it and romp with it. It lasted a decent amount of time, maybe a few months, but he never had it unsupervised. He definitely started to pull and tear it and eventually we had to take it away because he had torn a hole in the head and was pulling the stuffing out. It certainly lasted a lot longer than other "normal" soft toys on the market, but I would never leave my dog alone with it for fear he would destroy and ingest it, possibly causing a blockage. Love this toy for its durability and toughness, but it's still a soft toy and should always be used supervised. It make a great fetch or tug toy though!
As far as what you get, this toy is mostly unstuffed except for the head and feet, which I like. (Less filling equals less chance of causing an obstruction) It has a squeaker in it, though I can't remember exactly where it's located. It's got very durable, reinforced stitching and is a tough fabric. As I mentioned, it's definitely a better option than a regular stuffed toy. It will last your dog a long time if you make sure to only use it when he is supervised.
Overall it was a purchase I was glad I made. It gave our new dog something that was all his and could play and do with what he liked, and it could stand up to a decent amount of abuse. I would buy this toy for him again for sure.

I bought this toy for my 5 month old lab/hound mix and I was pleasantly surprised. I have never purchased a stuffed toy for a dog before, and was leary about it now, but I'm glad I did. After reading many reviews of this toy and seeing some dogs rip theirs apart within minutes, I was a little reluctant to purchase this. Thankfully, since I have, he has left my daughter's stuffed toys alone for the most part.
The triceratops is my puppy's favorite toy and sometimes he carries it around the house with him. He has chewed the tail and at least 1 of the horns, but the rest of it has stood up to his roughhousing, tugging, etc.
It is not fully stuffed, which is great so he can grab it a bit easier and if he is able to rip it open, there won't be a lot of fluff everywhere.

Since my initial review, I have purchased 2 of the triceratops toys and one of the purple dinosaurs. My now 7 month old puppy has chewed up both triceratops dinosaurs,one of which had its face chewed off, the other its tail. However he still has his purple dinosaur which he also uses as a pillow. He has chewed off the green frill along the back of the purple dinosaur, but has not chewed any other parts (yet). It has been 2 months since I bought the purple one and it seems it is his favorite.
He can go through these fairly quick, but they are some of his favorites and I find they are well worth it.

Normal stuffed toys last 5-10 minutes with my crazy pooch - she loves to rip the stuffing out so I usually only buy stuffing-free toys or toys listed as being indestructible. I heard great things about this brand and thought I would give it a go.
Unfortunately, she had it ripped open at the seam running down the spine (along the pink triangles) within 2 hours and pulled out most of the fluff, as well as the squeaker, shortly thereafter. I even bought the large version hoping that it would last longer, but that was clearly not the case. While I'm sure this toy is good for some breeds of dogs, my 40lb mutt must be more determined to remove the stuffing than most. It might have lasted longer if the seams were reinforced, but they aren't...which doesn't really make sense to me.
Either way, my pup thoroughly enjoyed destroying her dino so I guess it was a good purchase for that reason alone. Maybe I'll try a different goDog toy (dino, dragon, what-have-you) just to make sure I didn't get a defective one. I suppose 2 hours is still better than 10 minutes...
