For starters, it is almost _exactly_ as advertised, sad that this is a perk these days, but after 3 other shotgun scabbards failing to even match description let alone pictures once they arrived, this won it 3 stars right off the bat. ;)
It must be noted that unlike the face picture posted by the seller of this product, there is an "Explorer Tactical" badge sewn near the mouth of the scabbard...
Quality is better than the other 3 prior, in fact it's so well built, I'm curious what it actually weighs.. The adjustable tip is exactly what I was looking for to house a 28" scoped Benelli slug gun. It must be noted though that the buckle that typically would keep the tip folded for much shorter 18" rigs does not have a long enough strap to clip in the full open position. So your forced to cinch the buckle in all the way and tuck the loose strap into the lower D-ring strapping to keep it from flopping around. :(
In fact, the retaining strap that secures the pistol grip only clips in at the very end of the strap for this 28" beast. So though its "designed" as a 28" shotgun scabbard that's adjustable to shorter rigs (Model # G28BLACK), it _barely_ supports a 28" shotgun..
This knocked a star off in my book..
The shoulder strap almost knocked a star off, because compared to the scabbard quality, the shoulder strap is a joke. At least it has below average metal clips and adjustment buckle. *shrug* I'll be replacing it with a higher quality padded shoulder strap.
The snaps of the buttons appear to be very weak when snapped. I wouldn't trust them to support the scabbard let alone the shotgun...Read more ›
