Beautiful, Comfortable, and Functional

These are definitely one of the better looking pair of running shoes I have ever owned and it is also one of the most supportive / comfortable! (NOTE: I wear a regular size 10 for the most part, but occasionally I have to get the 4E extended width variation to accommodate - this is one of the pairs that I had to get the wide version.)

I'm not easily satisfied when it comes to shoe comfort. Even with my daily casual wear, I typically have to supplement most of the shoes I own with gel insoles and/or arch support of some sort. Running shoes not so much, but these even surpass expectation. The only other pair I have owned that compares to the immediate, "out-of-the-box" comfort as these ("ASICS Gel Contend 2") are my "ASICS Gel-Equation 7" running shoes, which actually rank #1 on my list of favorites - these being a close 2nd though.

They have a very soft feel to them and absorb shock exceptionally well. I feel support in all the right places, especially arch support. I also like that there is an extra piece of stronger material added to the mesh at the precise point that one's big toe ultimately wears through at the near tip of the shoes.

Very comfortable, good looking, and well-designed shoes. The only thing left to test is their durability, which I will update when I put a bit of mileage on them.

Wide Shoes

Will buy these again. My new favorite shoe. Used to by New Balance 509, Nike Monarchs, and Nike flex. These are a better shoe. Had arch issue and needed a new shoe so tried something different. Did not expect these to be this great.

New to running.

I can’t compare these to any others shoes because I'm new to the running world. i will say that these shoes are very comfortable and light weight. I'm 6.0 256lbs ( not a light weight lol ) and the shows felt like on was walking on air. I ran my first 2 miles today and I had no type of pains at all NADA!! The main thing I was worried about where my knees because going a few years back I had been just fast walking on a tread mill with some Nike’s (forget what style) but remember that they were so called trainers and I remember having massive knee pains after that experience I wanted to make sure that I had the correct shoes for running by doing some research.
Though I will admit these Asics Contends where not the first on my list. I wanted to purchase the Asics Cumulus or Kayano but the price was just out of my budget.

So if you’re on a budget like me and need very good running shoes with a lot of support I recommend Asics Contend. I’m happy and glad I ordered these.

Excellent walking/running shoe.

I broke in these shoes over a couple of days and they felt good, now I wear them several days a week.. I walk over 5 miles every day mostly on streets and non-rugged paths, and these shoes quickly became a favorite. They are light, comfortable, fit well, and have gel cushioning. I recommend them as a quality shoe without the high price.

A-one Asics

Second pair of Asics and neither 1st pair (different model) nor this one has been a let down. Worn at work where I am on my feet approx. 10 of the 12 hrs there walking the hallways (hospital) w/o any problems. 1st pair lasted 5 months which was 1 month longer than previous brand ($$$$ - four star avg.National brand) so no complaints.Will likely stay with Asics in future if this pair performs as my last pair did.

Great Looking Shoes

These sneakers feel like slippers on my 13 EE footsies

These sneakers feel like slippers on my 13 EE footsies. I love them. The only thing I think I should pass along is that these shoes are made to breath and they make that happen with a very breathable mesh material across the top of the toe box and along the sides. You can put a flashlight in my shoe and almost turn it into a lampshade it passes so much light. This is terrific in warm/hot climates. However, on cold breezy days you will feel like you are wearing flip flops instead of sneakers. The cold will whip right through that mesh and straight to your toes. Not taking a point off for that, just trying to give you all a heads up. Great shoes, will order again.
