The size range is great, sizes 10/0 5/0 4/0 3/0 2/0. I had bought the other da Vinci set with Series 36 and loved it. These are now my sable brushes of choice for detail work and watercolor. The price is fantastic.

These brushes are pretty good, but some of the smaller sizes don't come to a perfect point. Some of the bristles are longer than others, and as a result I can't really paint details as well as I would with a proper point on the brush. I did my best to trim them with a blade, but the point still isn't perfect. Too bad.

These are exceptional brushes, and are superb for painting miniatures with acrylic paints. Fine points and excellent snap in the bristles (a characteristic of red sable) make painting small details a breeze. Some people recommend toothpicks for small details like eyes, but I can get a much finer dot with these brushes than with a toothpick. There is a nice selection of very fine brushes in this set. My only complaint is that the finest one (a 10/0) has already started to spread out after 3 months of admittedly hard use. Burshes are cleaned and conditioned after every session, so I have to attribute this to a manufacturing defect, but since I have owned several dozen Da Vinci brushes over the years, I have to say that this is the rare exception.

The brushes came with great points and look like they will be great for detail. These are a christmas gift for someone who alters magic the gathering cards so fine detail is required. I will update this review once I find out how they perform, but based on how they look and the other reviews I think they will make a great gift.
