Great for grass

Daughter loves these shoes! She wore them all cross country season and winter training until I had to replace them after 300+ miles with the same shoe. You do need to order 1/2 size larger than normal. They are a zero drop shoe, very light, and just the right amount of cushioning for my daughter. Great for grass, dirt, and short stints across pavement or track.

I do LOVE these shoes

I do LOVE these shoes. I wore the Saucony Kilkenny in 2014 for three Spartan races (Sprint, Super, and Beast at Killington, VT) and a Tough Mudder, though they were tight, they lasted and were awesome! This season I wore two other pairs of shoes for the races, but still kept wanting the stickiness of the Saucony flats. I couldn't find the Kilkenny in my size, so I decided to risk it (three days before the Beast again at Killington, VT!) and purchase them. Last year I bought a size 7 and they were too small, so I made sure to buy an 8. Though they were still somewhat small (next year I'll get an 8.5), they lived up to my expectations! They were sticky through the trail and slope runs, they shed water fast, and were super lightweight. I was on my feet for a little over 7 hours for the 16 mile race, and my feet were tired, but not uncomfortable. I did get heal blisters, but from a sock malfunction, not the shoes.

Overall, I love these shoes, and I will continue to wear them for all my OCR races!

These are great shoes for XC

Thanks to previous posts! I ordered 1 full size larger and the fit is acceptable. VERY light and well made. They were comfortable from the start; no break-in needed. These are great shoes for XC and a steal at under $20. Just order +1 full size.

Almost Too Light?

My daughter wears a 10 and I bought a 10.5 and they fit her. Not sure if the larger sizes are more accurate than the smaller ones?

I wanted to send these back. I did track and cross-country for years, and I never had shoes this light or thin. My daughter LOVES them though. I just see them wearing out pretty quickly. Overall a good purchase.

Sizes Run Smaller Than Sizing Chart States

I cannot give an adequate star rating because these shoes were never used. The two stars comes from their willingness to allow me to return this item. My daughter runs cross country and these were recommended to her by a kid on the team. When this brand says their sizes run small THEY MEAN IT. Their shoes are several sizes too small. I am returning two pair that are several sizes larger than her normal size. With cross country season wrapping up I will not be attempting to buy another pair this season. Maybe next year. This has been a bit of a headache.

Good trail shoe

These are very comfortable, and have a great tread, but they offer no support, which means I can only use them on unpaved trails (which I suppose is what they are made for, right?). I've used them on treadmills, but my ankles feel it almost immediately, and they are quite loud. Otherwise, I really love them! I can wear them for a couple hours to do errands in if need be, I even get compliments on them, the color is really fantastic and goes well with dark jeans. They're nice and lightweight (the box really does feel empty when it arrives), which is a boon while out running in them.

Too small and narrow even ordering a sz up, really nice looking but not functional for me.

I only gave these a two star rating because they are flashy and flattering- I followed other users advice and ordered a sz up, they were still to small and too narrow. They do not provide any support to the ankle, They seem like a spiked shoe, just with out the spikes. i returned them, which was sad, this really is a nice looking shoe and the price was outstanding.

Size Up!

Very small sizing and no arch support at all. The good side is they are very lightweight. I did end up returning this pair and sizing up 1-1/2 sizes and the shoe is still a little snug. They will work as nice "run around" shoes for the price of only $14.99. I definitely would not pay full price for theses shoes.
