Delivering comfort and athletic style in equal measure, this women's walking shoe has a durable synthetic leather upper topped with overlay details; a padded tongue and collar protects the top of the foot when you lace up for a snug fit. The cushioned footbed and compression-molded EVA midsole are backed up by signature GEL� to protect the rearfoot on heel strike. Beveled for a natural stride, the ASICS� GEL-Quickwalk� 2 SL walking shoe has an AHAR�-enhanced rubber outsole for durability as you rack up the miles.

In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan. He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano," which, when translated, expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body." Taking the acronym of this phrase, ASICS was founded on the belief that the best way to create a healthy and happy lifestyle is to promote total health and fitness. Today, ASICS offers a full line of performance-driven athletic shoes and technical active sports apparel and accessories dedicated to bringing harmony to the body and soul.

    I am a nurse and on my feet a lot. I also have a uniform at work that requires white shoes. I really like ASICS and wear them outside of work as my regular sneakers, so when I came across these in white leather I was sold. The fit is true to size like other ASICS, they are comfortable, and have solid white leather or leather-like material on top so you can clean easier than the normal mesh fabric ASICS uses. Overall I am happy, but time will tell if these hold up.

    I bought these for work. I'm on feet for 5 hrs 5 days a week. The sole was comfortable enough, but because the shoe is all man made material where the toe bends was pretty bad, pinching my toes in the process. And I could tell my feet would sweat a lot if I continued to wear them for 5 hrs straight. I took them off after a little bit. I returned them and bought the $110 asics walking shoes with real leather. Love them, so worth the extra money.

    Love love love love love these shoes!!! I am a nursing student and it is required that we were solid black, leather shoes to clinicals. It is very challenging to find a pair that works for the constant running around the hospital but also for the long days standing through surgery. This pair of shoes has definitely made those days easier for my feet! Very light weight, supportive and down right comfortable! Highly recommend for anyone who is one their feet for long periods of time!

    My work requires me to have "shineable" all black shoes. And finding a comfortable women's pair is hard enough. I'm on my feet for a constant 8-10 hours a day in a warehouse type setting. I do a lot of walking, up and down ladders and standing. They fit true to size but I suggest getting a bit bigger size to put insoles in them if you're constantly on your feet. The original ones are really cheap and have no arch support or comfort really..

    I really like these. I did order 1/2 size bigger because I had read all the reviews and every one suggested to do that. I am glad I did. I find them very comfortable. I bought them because I needed shoes that would allow me to be on my feet all day. I stand on cement at least 5 hours a day. And my feet where really hurting. I am also really really hard on shoes. I broke my ankle years ago. And now it drops and I find I am walking mainly on the inside of my shoe. That is the only place that my shoe wears down. The sole looks brand new on my shoes other then the one spot
