The ASICS� GEL-1150V� athletic shoe comes from a long line of popular 1100V series favorites, offering an ideal combination of cushioning and stability for every player on the team. This breathable women's volleyball shoe features a synthetic leather and air mesh upper with a protective toe guard to improve durability when you're on the court. The SpEVA� midsole ensures improved bounceback and overall durability, while the ventilated sole unit adds to the breathability and improved performance of the ASICS� GEL-1150V� court shoe's DuraSponge� rubber outsole.

In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan. He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano," which, when translated, expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body." Excellent shoes for volleyball at a great price!

i bought these for my 14 year old daughter who just started playing volleyball. previously she was wearing some nike running shoes which allowed her to slip a little. she said she has no issues with slipping in these shoes whatsoever. she said theyre very comfortable and fit as expected. one shoe fits good and the other is a little tight (width) but i told her they will break in and loosen up.
she says she has no issues with the arches.
i was considering the upcourt which she tried on at the store. the price was $5 less than these 1150V but you can tell the difference in build quality. the Upcourts look cheap compared to these. these seem much better constructed overall and they should be since the regular price is about $90 for these. we also looked at the Rocket 7 but could not find them for a good price in her size, in black. but those are pretty nice as well. of the 3 (Rocket 7, Upcourt and 1150V) i did like the 1150V the best. they just seemed to be the best constructed of these 3. i was concerned with the arch issues others reported but i guess it just depends on on each individuals feet

Great Priced Volleyball Shoes!

I'd been looking for a good volleyball shoe for a while. I own a ton of sneakers (Nike, Adidas, Puma, Asics) but none were sufficient on the court. I was looking between the gel Asics and the wave lightning Mizuno shoe. The Asics were priced more competitively and since having heard good things about the gel shoe, I opted to try it. I LOVE them! Compared to my other sneakers, they do take some getting used to because the support is wonderful. They're extremely cushioned, and comfortable, and give great support. I love the colors as well; the green and black give the shoe a nice neon touch.

Good shoe - no complaints

It's hard to fairly review all aspects of the shoe because they are worn by a young player. But, after a few months of playing / use, they seem like a good product, there have been no complaints about the fit, etc. We they were what we expected.

Im satisfied, great price!!! Runs a little big in sizes

Brought these for my daughter for volleyball. She's wears a size 9, but these shoes were slightly too big. An 8 1/2 probably would of worked out better. Shoe quality is great so far. She been wearing them now for about 2 weeks for practice and her volleyball games.

I liked the way they looked and the size was right on BUT they had an arch across the whole middle of the shoe (left to right / right to left). The part of my foot that doesn't have an arch was very uncomfortable from the pressure so I returned them. Too bad, I really liked the way they looked.

Great fit and good for Tennis

I love the 1100 series volleyball shoes made by ASICS. I use them for clay court tennis because they fit my foot better than tennis shoes.
the toe box it a bit bigger in volleyball shoes....the bottom of the shoe is the same as asics clay court tennis shoes so they do not damage the court surface.
Also, I find the price is usually better.

Beautiful sneaker and comfy....except.... :(

Bummer! Loved the shoe!!! So comfy when I put on, but it's a little too long for my feet. I have a tad bit too much room by toes so my heels slipped. I have somewhat of a wider foot, but short from heel to toe (kind of like Fred Flintstone's -ha!). The shoe is beautiful and the support is great, but just not quite a good fit for me.

Great Fit and Quality and They Look Good Too

I purchased two sets of these shoes for my two older daughters who are in volleyball. I was looking for not only a good quality shoe (ones which provided good support, had good traction and fit well), but which were also reasonably priced. Having many children in sports we have to budget and these shoes were an extremely good deal. Also, they met my daughters' requirement that they looked good too.

They fit wonderfully well. They are quite snug (not overly), but the foot does not slide around in the shoe at all. Also, the arch is amazing. I have the same size foot as my oldest and I tried on her shoes and I have to admit I wish I had purchased a pair as well. They are wonderful for those who need a good arch support. Another interesting feature is the shoe makes the user stand a bit more on the ball of the foot and not flat footed. The girls say this is a bonus as it helps them keep themselves ready and in position during play.

I am so happy with these shoes and would recommend anyone looking for a good quality pair of vball shoes to purchase these.
