The Gel-Rocket® 7 brings exceptional value and performance season after season. This season offers a lighter weight upper and increased gum rubber on the outsole for improved traction. In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan. He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano," which, when translated, expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body." Taking the acronym of this phrase, ASICS was founded on the belief that the best way to create a healthy and happy lifestyle is to promote total health and fitness. I wear these shoes to play pickleball. They have good stability but are light and comfortable. My local sporting-goods store carries the Rocket by Asics, but they were more expensive and I didn't care for the color. Lower price and better color on Amazon? It's a slam!

Nice, run very small

Nice shoes, but needed 1.5 sizes larger than current athletic shoe to get enough space at end of toe box. Will exchange for correct size. Update: Took 3 pairs before we had the right size, although my daughter really likes them now that she can use them. I would not have considered buying without the free returns offered, but it took me nearly a month to get all the retuns handled and the right pair on her feet.

Get these for fencing and you won't be disappointed!

Great shoes for what we've purposed them for - fencing. Less expensive than "real" fencing shoes, the court design helps with grip and my daughter says they are very comfortable. I have noticed many fencers at our club with these shoes.

I bought these for Zumba because I needed a court shoe with very little tread so I don't 'catch' my shoe as I'm sliding etc. These shoes are a great price, very comfortable and just what I need. This is the second pair I bought. Highly recommend them. My previous shoes were over $90, had more tread than I would like & lasted about 3 years. Even if these only last 2 or 3 years (I go to Zumba 4X/week), they were half the price of my other shoes so it will still be money well spent.

Very nice volleyball shoe

Purchased for Pickleball

These shoes got rave reviews, so I was pleased to order them for use playing pickleball. They are attractive and do the job, but I was a little surprised to find the inside of the shoe somewhat "shallow," for lack of a better word--not an issue I've run into before. Presumably the footbed will 'squish down' after awhile. Also, the heel is a little loose, which may also be the result of the side of the shoe not coming up on my foot as far as usual. There is also not a lot of discernible arch support, though I don't notice a problem while wearing the shoe. Just wish it felt more secure on my foot. A positive is that the bottom of the shoe "sticks" to the gym floor in a good way...provides good traction for back and forth play. For the price, a decent shoe.

Elevate your game

I am 40+ and play women's volleyball one night a week. I haven't had actual volleyball shoes to play volleyball in for a long time. At $26 I couldn't pass up these up. I tried them out for the first time last night. I played GREAT. When you get a high, tight set and you hear the other team saying 'oh sh*t', you know you are playing well! Was it the new shoes? Who knows? I also wear Asics Gel running shoes and ordered these in the same size and they fit as expected. These definitely grip the court better than running shoes, which really helps in the dusty school gyms I play in. Not my first choice in colors (pink/white), but the other colors were all at least double the price.
