Second time was a charm

First off, you'll get compliments on this everywhere you go. Secondly, yes it is thin, but it is also warm. We just had a week of 20 degree weather in Seattle and I was just fine being outside. Now lets talk fit. I am 6'1" 190 lbs muscular build. I ordered a large. My chest is 44" and it is right on the line of being too tight in the under arm area. I originally ordered a Medium because someone left a review stating they were 6'2" 185lbs. When I put the Medium on it was almost comical; I couldnt even zip it with my 44" peck size. The large is perfect. I like fitted clothing; not baggy gangsta ish. So, I hope this review helps!

It's a good light jacket, but not worth the price.

Good jacket. But not exactly what it claims. It's thing and light. But I don't think it keeps you that warm. When it gets around freezing, you will want to start looking for something else. This jacket isn't even in the same league as my Carhart. This is ok for slightly cold weather. But make sure you don't get rid of your thick jacket.
All of the thermal heat transfer stuff I think is bologna.

This jacket has a fatal design flaw. The hood won't stay up. There is not elastic or draw string. If I want the hood to stay up I have to turn my head slightly so my head kind of binds up into the hood. Otherwise it will fall backwards and off your head.

This is why I gave it one star. For a $160 jacket, they could at least design the hood to stay on your head!.
I would not recommend this jacket unless the price was around $45. Too bad, because Under Armor usually makes good quality products. Unfortunately this jacket does not deserve their name on it.

Not for cold weather

I tried to wear this today for a hike, it is 32 and windy. I wore several layers and lasted 12 minutes before I was shivering. It does not stop the wind at all. It does not retain any heat. This is more of a fall/ spring light jacket. I am very disappointed. I Love UA products, but this one is a failure.

Great fit and feel

I love this jacket. And I joke with my wife about how often I have people compliment me on how it looks. Almost to a creepy level. Had a lady stop me at a Seattle Mariners game once just to comment how much she liked the jacket. The jacket is very warm and comfortable. Has a solid build and definitely doesn't feel cheep or like it will fall apart easily. The fit is also great. However, I will say I had tried on this jacket at an under armor outlet store so I knew that for my fit style, I should order a size down. I'm 6'3" 185 and wear 32inch waist pants, so a pretty thin guy who is not overly muscular. I usually wear larges in most things, especially jackets. However, the large in this jacket felt a little too baggy and a little too long in the torso. I ordered down to a Medium and it fits perfectly. A little snug at first, but it stretched out and fits great now. Would definitely recommend this jacket for anyone.

i absolutely love this jacket, it is warm enough to wear in winter with base gear and or just a sweatshirt, without all the weight and bulk of a winter coat! I had to peel it off the other day when the temp got to 50, it is a bit long my daughter ordered me a M for Christmas, said she would have gotten the small but was afraid it wouldn't fit in the bust according to the size chart (I'm 5'1" w125) but it covers my bum and that's ok just not used to having straight arms to have my hands in the pockets, Did i mention i love this jacket?

BRIGHT VISABLE and TONS of Compliments!

I live in a rainforest and in the winter our daylight hours are short. I do lot's of walking with my dog and I wanted something that would work with me to keep me warm on dog walks, yet would also be visable during the darker days. I have never understood why most of the longer rainjackets out there are in such dark dismal hardly visable colors. This was perfect for me and although I would have preferred if it was a bit longer the fact that I'm short probably helped! Did I mention I live in S.E. Alaska and it kept me sufficiently warm even during the snowy days!
I would definitely recommend it!

Thin very warm layer!

This jacket is great, very thin and able to be layered under other clothing if you need the extra warmth. Although this is incredibly warm on its own. Worn in 10 degree weather with a long sleeve shirt and undershirt underneath and was very warm. Also like that the good zips up close around the neck and ears so the wind stays out.

THE COOLEST Jacket with the best product innovations from the coolest Athletic Apparels Company

Finally, my most coveted UA STORM Jacket in a coolest looking Risk Red color (it would've been even better, if instead of the light gray, but black on the end of the jacket rims - black and red go together well like coffee and cream) has arrived on my doorstep.

I'm a big fan of UA products because of its far superior focus on product innovation while not sacrificing many of its look and feel - it just feels so good donning one of these jackets. Like many reviews, I'm not surprised why so many get complements from total strangers - that, in itself, tells you how good the jacket is! Product innovations like Magzip, it's a cool "inter-locking" zip that slides into place before you bring the zipper to slide up. This ensures tightly coupling of the two parts, the thing I hate the most is overtime zippers, due to wear and tear, slide out of its track or it eats into the fabric. This small innovation prevents things like that, also keep the cold air out in conjunction with UA's ColdGear INFRARED technology.

Love it! Love it! Absolutely love it!

Also a shoutout to Amazon merchant Fashion Connections, who ships promptly at the most competitive prices, even lower than UA outlet! Believe it or not!
