Excellent quality materials and designer craftsmanship. Gerbing closed in 2012 and is now ran by Gyde. So all GERBING batteries are old. Mine came completely depleted of energy so now the dont hold much energy. With that said great deal here because gyde jackets cost much more. Just plan to purchase a battery from gyde and this is a great deal.

This jacket is well made. Warm without the battery. Very soft liner inside and even in the pockets. Has slits for thumbs on the elastic wrists of jacket. Would be better if it had a band to tighten the bottom of the jacket. I had to order a size up because the size small was $50 more. A hood would be a great plus too. The biggest downfall of this jacket is that the battery does not last as long as it says. I charged it, unplugged the moment it was 100%, and had left it on 25% for maybe 3 hours max and it was dead. 3 stars for the fact that a smaller size costs more and since the battery doesn't last as it says.

I would give this jacket 5 stars except the battery is not as strong as I had hoped and I will be purchasing the newer version from Gyde. I guess the Gerbing batteries are old. The company should just go the extra mile and put a Gyde battery in with the coat. As for warmth, I love this jacket. I especially love the fact that it heats in the back of the neck. Fit wise, I usually always wear a medium but ordered a large due to the reviews i was reading about the sizing. I'm very glad that I got the large. The medium would have fit but I would have looked like a stuffed sausage in it. If you are normally on the end of your size IE: a medium but not quite a large opt for the large, a medium not quite a small opt for the medium. Otherwise super coat and pretty stylish as well. Considering the tag attached to it had the retail price of $325.00, then this coat at $159.00 plus additional battery at $49.00 ($39.00 on ebay) is quite a deal!!!
