I ordered two of these, hoping to wear one on each wrist, able to stop knives and wrenches tossed at me just by holding up my forearm. Several trips to the emergency room later, I can tell you that these just aren't powerful enough to do that.

Also, as a 6'+ non-svelte, fairly hairy balding guy, I felt ridiculous in that Wonder Woman costume. Side note: yes, these will take gold spray paint, if you need them to look like, oh, some superhero's magical wrist bands. Just so you know. Other side note: blood will stain cheap costumes.

That said, these work *really* well at holding nails and screws. Putting up shelves, these held all I needed to complete the job, even for a large setup. I also used them when installing some replacement cedar siding on my house. The magnets aren't the most powerful... but that's a good thing, because they hold screws and nails but don't make it a struggle to remove them.

I have reasonably large wrists, and these fit without issue. They also fit my 14 year old daughter's much smaller wrists, so they're pretty adjustable.

Recommended, for non-superheroes.

Can't give it 5 stars as I am not the person using it. This was a stocking stuffer for my husband, and he seems to like it (and I like it because I don't have to hold onto tiny screws or chase them down as they fall into the carpet or floorboards!). It is as described, but a very rugged, durable quality so I believe it will last for years. The wristband is adjustable and seems comfortable when working (but maybe not for those who are in the construction industry - my husband doesn't wear it for extended periods, just during projects). I chose the black color just due to the price - that one was the least expensive but still Prime shipping at Christmas.

Got my husband the "manly" version for Christmas, then got jealous, so he bought me this one and I love it! At first, I thought I would mostly be using it while crafting - holding pins, keeping the seam ripper handy, that sort of thing - but I've used it for so much more. We've had to get a house ready to paint, and that means removing a bunch of nails and screws from the walls, removing outlet and light switch covers, and window covering hardware. I get up on the ladder with this, my spackle gear, my drill bits, and my mini drill and go to work: so convenient to put the rusty old stuff I remove from the walls right on my wrist to throw away later and not have to worry about losing them in the rug to step on. It also holds on tight to the different bits, keeping them handy for quick changes. And when I say "holds on tight," I really mean it - I am bad about scraping my arm through the ladder or banging it against something, and those bits just hung on! It can hold on to heavier stuff such as screwdrivers, wrenches, scrapers, and such, but for most of what I do, that's just awkward. I remember when we did our house, it was a nightmare! We were always having to go up and down the ladder because we dropped something we needed or because we knew if we didn't look for it then, we'd never find it. They are also great when assembling furniture: just lay it flat, then lay out the screws in an orderly fashion as you will need them, then put it back on - so simple!

Can I complain about this product? Ok, so it doesn't taper like your wrist does, so it can be ill fitting, impairing movement, but I got around this by putting it up higher on my arm. I am not a small lady, but even though the band is made for women, it is adjustable to a pretty large size - guys who like pink, shop away, lol.

A great gift for the crafter, hobbyist, or handy-man/woman, just be sure to buy one for yourself as well :)

This magnetic arm band is awesome. I am a sewer and DIYer. Neighbor and I went to fix a loose fence board and I pulled this out, loaded it with nails and handed her a hammer. She loved it so I ordered 2 more ! One for inside the house and one for a gift of thanks for her help. Highly recommend this item as the magnets are STRONG! Now when I drop needles in my sewing room I will just use this to grab them back up and of course while I am sewing. No more stopping to place them in the dish, now I just drop them on my arm. I was a little excited about this for automotive work but found out this product is a complete joke. It has very tiny magnets inside that will barely hold anything. And they are only in two of the sections which make up about 20% of the total surface area of the whole thing so the space you have to put anything on it is very limited. If I put an M8 size bolt on it, which even the smallest rare earth magnets could probably hold 5-10 of, they would fly off of this once I would make any movement. Really disappointed.

Large enough to fit a large wrist, and with enough wrap around to fit smaller wrists as well, you can buy one of these and it will work for everyone in your family. It's not too heavy to wear while working. The magnet is strong and we've had no issues with screws falling off. Please note, the photos is accurate. This wristband is not designed to hold a large number of screws. But I can attest to the fact that it makes projects easier, especially when you are removing screws that you intend to replace in short order. It's fantastic when used in carpeted rooms where you can't see the dang screw when you drop it. Here, you won't drop it in the first place and if you do, use the magnet as a sweeper and find it.
